Vent Help

Just got done building a new comp and every time i try to log on to vent i get this messege

( Unable to activate DirectSound for selected device.
DirectSoundCaptureCreate failed. HR=DSERR_NODRIVER. No sound driver is available for use )

Dont know why cuz all my sound is running fine i can hear sound from speackers and headset dont know if there is any thing i can do to fix it i
run win 7 and every thing has been updated

Reinstall your sound card drivers? The proper way though: uninstall the old ones, restart, install them again, restart - retest.

Checking in the Vent forums themselves might provide a solution, this seems a very general error and might be very common with a very simple fix.

Make sure your input and output are set to your active soundcard. And the mixer to your microphone attached to the soundcard. Sometimes it's not properly set by default. (Setup, on the right).
