Though my 100th mount was the Green Proto Drake, I was stuck at 24 mounts for months until I hit 100. Why? I stockpiled all the mount I obtained and stashed them in my bank. Once I got to 76, I unleashed hell during Ragnaros loot (I almost got Gkicked lol). Now I have 102 mounts from the Albino and Dragonhawk.
US > Magtheridon > Jeremypwnz > Activity Feed > 4-5 days ago. I can't post links yet.

This was the same for me, not quite as epic as having a rare mount drop for your 100th tho

Currently sitting on 99 mounts. My hundredth will either be the frostsaber if I finish the quests, a frostwyrm if I get my last couple of [Glory of the Icecrown Raider] achievements done in the next couple of weeks, or Tyrael's Charger dropping in my mailbox if 4.3 hits in the next couple weeks. Either way, I know It's going to be an awesome mount.

Let's see, it was the reset before you couldn't get the old mounts from ZG because of the patch changing the world. Sadly I did not get either the raptor or the tiger (and didn't get the panther claw for the set bonus). So I decided to do a "screw it" Anzu run and it ended up dropping, which I still saw as a middle-finger from Blizz taunting me. I'm okay with that though.

I think it was a Netherwing mount. Either way it was after alot of farming as I got all the Talbuk and Nether Rays at around the same time too.
