now as for me can't think of any it takes very precise things for me to hate something and most villains in games and media lack them.

I have never hated a video game character so much. His arrogance and constantly finding any efforts to fight you a waste of his time were so frustrating. I raged hard for far too long by the time i finally got to him. Awesome character to hate.

Its a sad day when no one mentions Diablo or Baal D;

Diablo and Baal don't really talk, so it's hard to call them badass when all we have to go off of is that they are evil. Baal does get +1 to his badass rating every time I watch the scene with him talking to the barbarian, though.

Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) - I remember struggling to kill this guy on my first playthrough. He's a grey area villain as well in a way, but not only that, killing him is nigh impossible. I don't mean that in a gameplay sense, I mean it in a, "Damn this guy is as tough as nails," sense. Phase 1: Shoot rockets at him while he's piloting metal gear, Phase 2, fist fight on top of metal gear, after which he falls several dozen feet head first, Phase 3, Gun fight while riding in the back of a jeep....and Phase 4, he dies of disease. Unrealistic as hell, but hey it's a video game and it's still great fun

You see, I spent almost all of MGS4 wondering if Liquid really was the villain, he's at odds with you but everything he did was sort of.... right. If anything he was a dangerous anti-hero.
