Fun World Boss Attacks on Cities?

Thinking about it, Blizz do need to put in something to liven up the times between major patches.

A good visit from a wandering World Boss where people have to cooperate to take it down, or even just drive it away, would be a good idea. Have some dragon rock up to the front gate of SW and see how many people swarm out to drive it away.

As an incentive to get people to fight, have the NPCs hide and vendors in the city all close up shop and hide while the dragon is outside.

Add in an achievement for defending the city as a bonus. As a weekly event it could be fun.

And to make it a bit fairer for newbies and low level toons, toss in support roles for them to bring aid/repair material from the castle to the front gate to repair the damage made by the boss's attack or to boost fighting defenders.

Sounds alot like Rift. Invasions with world bosses etc. Although, would not be a bad idea and would give some people a reason to actually leave SW/Org

That used to happen all the time to that poor little city in Redrige Mountains back in vanilla. Some guy kited that dude (Yes awesome explaining) from Burning Steppes and he raped pretty much anything and everything. We were just lvl 20ish ;<

It sounds good, but it should be a bit irregular, and not more then once a week. Otherwise players get fed up with it, like with the elemental invasion, wich was very annoying on low-pop servers. >.<

Let the bosses only pop up during peak hours, and not in the middle of the night ^^

I think it would be quite awesome to see that Deathwing has sent two of his most powerful lieutenants/creations to destroy Orgrimmar and Stormwind. As long as players are given prior warnings by NPC's (not regarding whats going to happen, just that something big will happen on day x).

It could even be every week (on a random day) with warnings 24 hours before. And definetely have NPC's close shops and hide inside etc.
