My dad is a fail Shadow Preist Help

Hey guys my dad has been playing since wrath and has been reasonably good. He has Heroic gear ATM ilev 346 even chanted and Gemmed right. Problem is I am ilvel 333 hunter just starting heroics and I out DPS him by ALOT like in most pugs I am #1 and he is 3. HELP!

Hunters are pretty op right now, not sure about shadow priests.
I'm a hunter myself, ilvl 350 atm and have hit 20 something k in BH :s

Try givin' some info on his rotation ect..? But hunters are usually a bit better these days as your bursts are insane, and Shadow need some uptime to get a steady damage increase..

Tell him to read some Sp dps guides, and imo the gear difference of you and your dad ain't that huge to make a big dps difference

might be that hunters are OP and shadow priests are UP nowadays..
if you out dps him on aoe fights there is nothing to complain about, shadow priests have no aoe what so ever.
if none of these, and you not mentioning no rotation (assuming he's doing it right?), you could make him look at this forum:
