requesting help with assasins creed brotherhood for pc

ok so i have a problem with my assasins creed.

for some reason when i try to play the multiplayer the following happens;

it starts the game to go to multiplayer it comes to the screen where it says trying to connect but then i get the message failed to connect to uplay and the only thing that i can do is return to singleplayer.

now i only have this problem with assasins creed and not with any other game for example crysis 2.

so does the problem ly with me or with uplay itself?

hope anyone can help me really wanne play the multiplayer

I have been able to play multiplayer games, have you tried updating the game? Also do you have your firewall blocking the game?
