I like this hard hitting, shit talking, goal scoring, strong defensive team with a reliable goalie. If people still question whether Reimer can become a legitimate #1 goalie, last night and this season as a whole are proof. He hasn't let in a soft goal in his last 3 starts and even in the last game he lost, he played really well.

Oh great, Grabovski is going to have a hearing with Shanahan today over the "biting" incident last night. Sorry, but Pacioretty is a little bitch, one would have thought that Chara laying him out into the stantions two seasons ago would have knocked the arrogance out of the little turd munch, but I guess it takes a career ending injury to knock the arrogance out of Habs players. Since the video evidence is inconclusive, all they can do is go on a he said she said thing in order to make a punishment, but considering there wasn't any blood from the incident, I don't think Grabs gets anything more then a small fine. Honestly, if he gets suspended for it, then the biting incident during the playoffs between Boston and Vancouver should have warranted a suspension (that was Burrows iirc) and Shanahan will look like a hypocrite.

Oh baby that goal by Datsyuk. D-amn. I knew I should have went to the game. I dragged my feet hoping to get a friend to go with me but she couldn't and decided too late to get to the game to go solo.

And how about that hit by Doughty a couple minutes earlier that almost certainly stopped another Datsyuk goal? He fucking railed Datsyuk in front of the net.

Ya, you can't even see wtf is happening in any of the videos. And considering there is no usable proof, I doubt he gets anything.

I'm not saying I condone what Orr and McLaren did at the end of the game, but... it was pretty hilarious and awesome to watch at the same time. For anyone who missed it, just look at how much pleasure McLaren is taking in this video. (Not to mention, Orr 1-punching Bourque to the ground)

If anyone gets suspended from this game, it's Orr. Trying to fight 2 guys who haven't dropped the gloves is never a good thing for avoiding suspension. I'm glad the Leafs are in this position, though. Last night, they sent a few strong messages to anyone they are playing in the next week or two that they aren't going to quit, they aren't going to be pushed around, and they are going to stand up for each other. Which is great, because they have 2 games with Philly, Ottawa, and a rematch with Montreal in the next 17 days.

When they are working on the robot punching effects for Pacific Rim 2, that Orr punch is going to be the model. Face smash.

So Brunner is the best pure goal scorer Detroit has had since Hossa left isn't he? And ya Howard has been fantastic today and he was good in the Edmonton game. Maybe he feels motivated now that there is a legit backup behind him who will actually be able to take his job on a long term basis in Mrazek.

so what you mean is that having COMPETITION for the starting job lit a fire under his ass?
oh. and Brunner just became our leading goal scorer...can we resign this guy now cheap instead of at the end of the season when were gonna have to pay him an arm and a leg.

I doubt Orr gets a suspension for defending his team. Montreal should be seeing suspenions for breaking the instigator rules though. But I like how he socked out one of Montreal's players in a single swing, that was absolutely fucking hilarious.

He shouldnt and he wont. Bourque came at him as the 3rd man in and Orr wasnt having any of it. If you cant play with the big dogs you had better sit on the porch with the pups. A pretty decent move by McLaren though. If he wanted to, he couldve turned Gorges into mush but chose to hold off. It was so refreshing to see the Leafs finally playing a man's version of hockey. People made fun of the Leafs for years for being soft and talentless. Well...I think they showed last night that that is no longer the case.

It's still only 1 game but this is the kind of hockey that gets me outta my chair. Keep it coming fellas! GLG!

I wasn't saying Orr should get suspended - I guess I was misinterpreted. I was trying to emphasize how little I thought Grabovski had a chance at being suspended. Poor choice of wording on my part, I suppose.
