Because I'm fairly certain that he redirected it with his skate then put it home with his stick. You can see the puck change direction and move faster once he gets his stick though.

ok so at the very last second it hits his stick, still doesn't explain how perry got away with trying to take a red wing stick while they were on the power play (RIGHT in front of the ref) and they end up scoring 30 seconds later. im all for call some and let some go, but that was Blatent, and they called red wing players for far less in that game.

Because the Penguins master plan was to completely overload their offense for a single run at the Cup instead of taking care of some of their defensive problems. By that logic, they want all hands on deck in the ridiculously stacked offense department.

As a personal opinion, I can't stand it when teams pull shit like this, it's like the pre-cap Yankee dynasty and the 2010 Heat all over again.
