Ya I was the one bitching about the refs and the Caucks can lick my grundel. The refereeing in the first OT was the most horrific example I have ever seen of swallowing their whistles. Even worse than the horrible job they did throughout most of the SJ/Det series. All in all they have just been awful the entire Van/SJ series, but they have been awful in favor of both teams which isn't necessarily a good thing lol. They have missed so many incredibly obvious calls all series that I thought I was watching the Detroit/Chicago game at the very end of the season when the refs just refused to call penalties even though Chicago blatantly high sticked Franzen in front of the net after the whistle and Kieth slashed a guys stick so hard it went out of his hands and over the boards.

dunno bout tampa bay but honestly im not worried if the Canucks play Boston. the eastern leagues dont seem very hot at all. its just a good thing the Canucks didnt have to play Detroit since they have a huge comeback history.

The Sharks are one of the best attended teams in the US and the Lightning are above Edmonton, New Jersey, and the Islanders, along with all of the other Sun belt teams, for attendance all of which are considered traditional markets. Winnipeg will have its chance to once again prove it is a viable market starting next season.

So it is official, Brain Rafalski retired today. Sad day as he was an great player. You don't often see guys walk away from $6 million they have sitting on the table because they know they can't play up to their prior caliber anymore. Now Ken Holland needs to sign an RFA to an offer sheet for the first time in his career and steal Weber away from the Preds.

Agree. The only thing they lack is an NHL size arena. They certainly do not lack an NHL size fan base as the hockey fan base in Winnipeg is likely larger than Phoenix, Atlanta, Nashville, and Columbus combined.
