2023-24 NHL Season Thread.

When I went to the Ducks vs Hawks game this year there was quite a few Duck fans sitting around, so yeah it happens. Then again Chicago is a huge melting pot city & brings in a lot of fans. I remember one game I went to almost 2 rows were all Leafs fans, some of the coolest fans as well.

There are Leafs fans in every corner of North America, that is just how we roll, especially with lots of migrants who move to other parts of the continent. I think the Leafs have the most wide spread fanbase of any hockey team, that much is for sure. There are only a couple of soccer teams in Europe that I would safely say have more fans internationally then the Leafs do.

That was a pretty weak power play. Boston has been pretty good at shutting down our power play through 2 games. The amount of stoppage of play here is shitty though.

What's awesome is when at other teams' home games vs the Leafs, you can hear "Go Leafs Go!" chants. (Particularly in Ottawa - it ALWAYS happens!)

That was a pretty brutal goal to give up to bring Boston within 1, but that goal by JVR was fan-fucking-tastic. You gotta give a lot of props to Grabovski for setting up that play rather then being selfish and trying to shoot it himself. That goal will be a highlight reel goal tomorrow and for much of the playoffs I think.
