NO we need a long, depressing season for most of the fans in here first!

Is there anyway we can set up a fantasy league for the MMO-C people?

Only if everyone agrees that the Montreal Canadiens will be the winner at the end, no matter what.

I believe I was the only person in the playoff bracket to have the Habs as the winners.

I'm anxiously waiting for the next hockey season to start. Lots of interesting stuff, NHL is interesting as always; from a Finnish standpoint a bit more interesting than previously as there are quite a few new names in the league (Kontiola, Lehterä, Komarov, Barkov, Teräväinen). CHL is starting, it is rather interesting. Jokerit (a Finnish team) joined KHL so that is also interesting to look into. The Finnish league has one new team now that Jokerit went to play in KHL. All in all, interesting stuff!

Especially the Jokerit in KHL thing is interesting. People didn't expect them to get a competetive team for the next season. Now that the team is complete, it's a top 5 team in the league on paper even though the budget is really small (under 10 million euros)...

Seems like Subban feels lowballed by the Habs. Excellent.

Confirmed 72 million over 8 years, so 9 million per year. Enjoy that contract Habs fans, I hope for your sake he continues to play well over that time period because otherwise there is no way in hell that contract can be moved. I guess Leafs fans can complain a little less about how much Phaneuf makes, at least it's not 9 million a year for 7 years :P

$72 million, 8 years? Seems nuts to me.

I'm glad Doughty has 5 years left on his deal.

And here the Video that was just uploaded by the Canadiens.

I am so glad Subban inked a long-term deal. 9 millions a year seems like (almost!) too much, but P.K. is still young and can improve a lot in the coming years. So I am confident he will play even better in the future.

Holy shit 9 per. Wow. That Duncan Keith contract is lookin real good right now. They are very fortunate they have Pacioretty signed for some good term already.

Gotta love these deals being made by the same owners who were screaming poverty / robbery during the last lockout. I'm sure the fans will take you seriously when the next one happens.

    Bishop two years, $5.95M per.

Quite a lot of money to blow into a goalie who's only had one good season so far (that was an absolutely sublime one though), but very reasonable term. Gets a thumbs up from me.

Man the Weber deal doesn't look all that bad now ( cap hit wise).

9 Mil for Subban is just nuts. Maybe Toews and Kane did take a pay cut to stay with Chicago after all
