The NHL needs new officials, they are getting as bad as the NFL replacement refs last season. That trip on Bolland so should have been a penalty shot, if he had scored, Ottawa still would have got a point regardless.

Reimer looked pretty shaky tonight, Bernier was pretty much a stone wall when he came in. While it's still Reimer's job to lose, Bernier has looked pretty damn impressive.

Bernier is playing like an all star though. 1 goal allowed during. Full periods, 1half period,and an OT. During a PK with 5 seconds left in the period.

I love Calgary vs Vancouver, even though there is bound to be 2-3 blowouts for Vancouver every year, there's always that 1 or 2 games that goes down to the wire and is super intense.

I know it's only been 2 starts, but long does Reimer continue to start games with a .879 save % vs Bernier's .979. He's only faced 5 more shots and allowed 6 more goals. I realize many people view him as the starter for the Leafs, but it's never too early to start taking the season seriously. If Reimer isn't cutting it, to the bench he goes. It's disappointing to see his stats after 2 games in light of what happened in the playoffs, but Bernier was brought here for a reason and made no secrets about wanting to be the starter.

The whole team was sloppy though. Hell, the whole game was sloppy. Both teams were shit defensively and both goalies struggled, only Carlyle had the sense to pull his goalie before things went further south and that decision cost Ottawa the game and gave the Leafs a chance to come back and win the game.

well detroit lost last night. saw that coming, 3rd game in 4 nights and against a boston team at home and having to travel during the day? yep, they did good in the first but looked tired the second and third. oh well. 2-1.
