Bummer with the loss last night. Leafs just werent playing as well as they had been. Sucks too because if Ottawa beats Boston on Tuesday it will put them in the lead for the division. How Ottawa is doing good I have no idea. Let's hope we can clean up with NJ and Columbus later this week.

You mean the better team that's currently only better than Columbus right now?

Boston got a fortunate coincidence of Thomas having his best year, and the team itself finally falling into sync. They barely got past Montreal and Tampa Bay, Vancouver fell apart at the end, and Philadelphia seems to turn to crap when Pronger isn't around. Not saying they didn't win the cup, they just had everything go right for them at once.

Quite often, that's what it takes to win in any sport.

    Agreed.

I disagree that Boston rolled their way through the playoffs though. Their run was one of the closest I've seen.

Edit: at least until they hit Vancouver. -_-

Vancouver hardly dominated the first 3 games aside from the one blow out game. I think the first game they only won by a single goal, and two goals in the 3rd game, the 2nd game was the routing of Boston. Funnily enough Boston routed Vancouver in 3 out of the 4 games they won before winning the Cup.

I wouldn't worry, Boston is going to clobber Ottawa, and all I have to say is 'lolcolumbus'.
I'm not worried about NJ either.

Why is it that the Rangers can only seem to put a good game together when Lundqvist isn't in the net? Lundy is 2-3-3, Biron is 2-0. WTF. Don't get me wrong, Biron has played great in those two games, but when Lundqvist is in net, the Rangers just look anemic no matter how good he is playing.

If someone had told me that 11 games into the season the Stars and Oil would be leading their divisions I would have laughed right in their face. If the Wings lose tonight, my brain might actually explode.

I'm hoping I'm going to be changing my signature to an 8 instead of a 3 tonight, personally. xD

Not really, they just put him on recall waivers, doesn't mean he will be on the roster.

Avery has more talent than most of the Rangers, him making the team again won't surprise me.
You can tell WoW changed the MMO for good when players started complaining about the amount of time they sink, into a time sink.

I hope sending him down forced him to get serious about improving. I've said it time and time again, he is a guy with plenty of talent that just needs to work on honing it and he would be a very good player. He shows it in flashes every year, but then spends the rest of the time being a moron.

Gustav Nyquist is up with the Wings. Hope he lights it up like he did in pre-season.

Avery will only improve if he adapts to the game properly, which is why he was sent down according to Tortorella, because he is a one dimensional player who is not only too chicken shit to fight anyone, but his actual offensive skills and ability to play a 3rd or 4th line role are absolutely terrible because he doesn't improve his game, his work ethic sucks.

I don't even know what to say. Grats to Minnesota on getting a ref granted win. Koivu gets away with interference on Kronwall allowing him to walk right into the middle of the ice for the game winning goal on a powerplay given by a mediocre goalie interference call on Franzen against Harding who was a full 6 feet outside the crease. WTB some offense from the Wings though. WTF.

Good win for Boston tonight. Nice to see Ottawa slowed down.

Have they said whether Reimer will be in tomorrow?
Looks like it might be yet another backup vs. backup match.

Gustavsson is starting again tommorow. Can't find any word on Reimer, but I didn't look too hard.

    It's November 1st. They'll stop being terrible.
Just a bad month for Leafs the last few years.

I don't like how there's 5 goals and D. Sedin and Burrows only have 1 point each. :|
