All I can say for my Flames, they're doing better than anyone expected them to and you can't say it's not exciting hockey. Blowouts aside to goddamn San Jose and their monumental game 1 collapse against the Caps (which they more than made up for on Saturday), they've kept it tight usually. Can't ask for much more from a team that's supposedly rebuilding. They've gotta work on their defensive game a bit more though, PK% and Goals Against are ugh. Offense is there for the most part though.

Giordano has a broken ankle, Calgary just released the update. He will be out up to 8 weeks.

    Oh..nevermind then. Didn't see that one D:

    Fuck.

They should bring up Wotherspoon or Cundari or something. Breen is fine I guess, but his minutes aren't that great. Rather see more of the new kids get some nhl time.

That and I see Breen is injured too. Scratch Wotherspoon too...I don't even see him playing since 2013 lol. Dammit flames.nhl.com, you suck!

    What is this sorcery?

2-0 Flyers. There was a PPG. At home. Against the Ducks.

I'd have been more surprised if Ducks got a PPG.

This Rangers-Islanders game is pretty damn intense. Great play on both sides of puck. And the Rangers have not one, but TWO PP goals lol

He was a bargain too, $1m/1year contract I believe. And now 2 goals and an assist in 3 games, one of the goals being a game winner and the assist to Brassard in OT vs. Detroit for the win. Dude has some hustle in him.

Morgan Rielly First career NHL goal, Kessel 4 point night

Edit: did they take Rielly goal away and give it to Kadri.. or is TSN borked

    Nevermind, you're right.
    Hit Kadri's hip.

    And... Shutout.

Well, Kessel helped me move back into 3rd in my hockey pool last night. Once again, the Leafs prove that the advanced stats guys are all stupid, Edmonton proved that they still can't do anything despite having some of the best potential on paper, they need a starting goalie.

That was such a weak goal that Ramo let in.

Yeah that was super weak but the whole play was a disaster, no puck support when Monahan dumped it in, JVR is allowed to take the pass and just walk in and shoot with 3 Flames surrounding him. Calgary played a pretty good first period, it's pretty much expected at this point that we just don't have the overall skill to keep up with better, complete teams. Oh well, some of those were really close chances. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a blowout

Bernier. Fucking. Bernier. Leafs don't deserve to be winning at this point, Bernier deserves it though my god what a goalie.
