A day like this, I couldn't possibly care less about Crosby or the Jets jerseys. No offence to anyone, but not cancelling the pressconference is just incredibly poor taste.

All I know is I'm at the opening game against the Habs and there is going to be an unhealthy level of alcohol consumed... even though I have class at 8am Friday. All the analysts seem to think the Leafs will squeak in this year. I say they finish 8-11th... All the teams that finished ahead of them are still pretty solid, and you can count on Jersey having a bounce-back year.

The Eastern Conference - in particular, the Northeast Division - is very competitive, so anything can happen at this point.
Still, I'm excited for the season, and can't wait for it to start!

Huge leafs fan here as well, but I honestly can't put money on us making the playoffs. There is just TOO many "if's" on this team.
We'll make the playoffs IF:
-Reimer proves last season wasn't a fluke
-Grabovski/MacArthur/Kulemin continue to have amazing chemistry
-Connolly stays healthy and finds chemistry playing with Kessel
-Our defence as a whole plays more like they did the 2nd half
-Have special teams that aren't completely embarassing
-Lupul or Kadri can score a lot and find more chemistry with Kessel
-The rest of our top6 forwards, top4 defence stay healthy for most of the year.

That is a lot of ifs. We have improved in my estimation, but a lot of teams around us have as well. It's going to be a battle.

Don't even know if Kadri is going to crack the lineup, tbh. There's a lot of competition, and unless more than one of the younger guys absolutely wows the staff, they've been saying there is only one spot available in the lineup (3rd line winger, I think?).

i think Kadri will be there. he seemed to be bringing it up a notch towards the end of the season
