Why do greeks type in latin?

Greek players on my server always type in latin.. ehy not in greek?

Wow doesn't seem to support Unicode. I've tried pasting Cyrillic in before and it just shows up as ????? on the wow client.

It does support Unicode. I can type/copy/paste Cyrillic letters just fine. I think you have to change some setting in Windows for this to work, but I did it such a long time ago that I no longer remember what exactly I had to do.

Also, they might be typing it in Greek and you see it as something else due to your client not set for Greek?

Well sometimes its faster to write in greeklish.

It's a sad story,really.
80% of all the greek people in the internet use a mix of the english and the greek language called "greeklish".
It's sad because people are throwing away in the trash can an ancient piece of cultural heritage called greek language.
All because typing in greeklish is faster and cool in the ages of 13 to 17.
So I wouldn't blame it on the client,but on the ignorance of the majority of the teenagers playing this game
