    cant get mic to work

    ive tried plugging it into my MSI board, the soundblaster card, i just cant get it to work

    i would like to think it isnt broken because its barely a month old..

    i previously used a built in mic via laptop, but now sense i have a desktop im not so privelaged

    and im completely lost trying to figure out how to do this

    ive tried all the plug-ins and havent gotten any speech through

    what else can i do?

    I sound like a meanie when I say this but I'm not trying to be...

    Have you checked your programs to make sure they have the mic enabled?
    Vent has an input/output option area in the setup, skype and the like do too I'm sure.
    Other than that, return if you can and good luck.

    You sure you are all plugged in? I as asking because I've fallen victim to that myself.

    Check in your sound preferences to make sure your default recording device is set to whatever port you have your mic plugged into. For example, my computer has 3 mic jacks and can also use the mic built into my webcam. The webcam likes to try and override the other mic ports - which screws with things sometimes.
