Anyone else tired of the god-awful hit detection & OP kill-streaks?

Overall good game, but those 2 things just ruin everything

The whole game is bull shit. If you have 3 bars, you always get fucked over. 4 bars are just ridiculous. Kill streaks don't really anger me at all.

I had worse hit detection issues with Crysis 2 than I do with Blops

Chopper Gunner & Attack Dogs (Gee, apparently they're trained to jump 20 ft in the air through the floor and kill you in one bite) are ridiculously overpowered, I don't mind anything else really

the lag is horrible in about 50% of the games, 45% playable but annoying, and 5% good.

i get annoyed by the noob tubes, chopper gunner/attack dogs, and the one shot knee kills from ak74u's as well as the numerous party and voice chat bugs.

it could have been a really good game, i've put a lot of time into it but i would still have to call it average.

Haven't played it in over a month, but got to 7th prestige (i think?).

Anyways, I enjoyed MW2 more, MW2 was even more imba and frustrating but riot shielding and dual mini uzis in search with friends created some good memories..

My problems with black ops:

connection is ALWAYS bad
rc car is too easy to get
blackbird, even though i get them probably ever game of tdm (my fav killstreak), op
why offer noobs the choice between a pistol and a launcher as a secondary? take out launchers
gimmicky hit detection
maps are meh

all i can think of atm :/

If it wasn't for commando and danger close, MW2 would be best COD game of all time imo.

Wrong, the only thing barebones eliminates is killstreaks.

I have it on the PC andand here is my top 10 thoghts on this game.

1. The KS's arnt as OP as MW2 the only ones that are OP is the chopper gunner and chopper pilot.
2. Guns sounds like crap like one of those toy guns that make sounds.
3. Maps are pretty good just Nuketown is the one I hate the most.
4. So many campers in this game.
5. Gun balancing needs work *cough* AK47u and Famas
6. Wager is fun as hell but, ont he PC version you cant raise the stakes which makes no sense since you can on 360 and PS3
7. DLC should have been free but, I can live without it.
8. I only play Hard Core since it is usually 1 shot 1 death which makes it fun for me.
9. Last stand is lame

The last killstreaks (9+) are incredibly overpowered.
I personally don't care about sounds too much and campers are due in part to the new equipment, such as the camera, motion sensor, etc.
The snow level is SO much worse than Nuketown, getting spawn camped in there is just the worst (Summit)
Some guns are incredibly overpowered but mostly due in part to lag & poor hit detection

Last note: The final stand is unbelievably gay, they should've made it like MW2 where you can use extra stuff for pro, not be resurrected... also getting knifed by a guy in "second chance" is SO AGGRAVATING

I bought the game, played the single player to get into it, it kept crashing on one of the missions, known bug (like so many others at release).
So i decided to do some MP, didn't really get far,lag + constant dc's, if I ever got in.
Figured out I was playing a buggy beta version of another lousy port.

It's in my closet now, under a lot of dust.

Yes, kill streak rewards should not be a part of fps.

The only thing I enjoy about CoD:BO are the wager matches. Other than that, MW2 is better in every way.

The biggest thing going from MW2 to BO is the control lag. I feel like my sticks are sponges I have to mash to get my character to move, even on the high settings. You get used to it, but I can't help feel like I'm playing Gears.

Also: It's not camping... it's Tactical Sitting

loved mw2.
start of ops was hell, shit servers crashed all the time, hugh lag. now month's later, no lag, only campers, tubers crapy sounding guns. sniping nerfed. kinda boring maps. it had potential but it failed on alot of parts

Wrong, the only thing barebones eliminates is killstreaks.

You are wrong, the guy you called wrong is right.

In MW2 it elminates only killstreaks, in Black Ops it elminates killstreaks, attachments, and perks.

the game needs a 'real' Hardcore-barebones mode. By that i mean:

1. All game modes (ffa, ctf, etc.)
2. No kill streaks
3. No last stand, all other perks are ok, i guess.
4. No mines
5. Also hardcore ( 1 hit = 1 kill)

but the modes you can choose from are simply too limited imo.
It's still fun, but it could be made better sooooo easily. (see above)

That would make me really happy. And no lag also pl0x xD

am i the only one here who hates mines? :O
