Ascend, a US EST Alliance end game raiding guild, is currently recruiting to bolster our ranks and strengthen our core to propel us into the top 25 US rankings. We always leave the rest of our server behind chasing the top spots in America.
Ascend is a guild that was formed before the release of Wrath of the Lich King, grown from a core of friends and members that have been playing together in various guilds with vast history among us. We have been around each other for periods of 4+ years. All of us have come together to form a guild that rose to the top, challenged many of the concrete guilds on the server, Dalaran, and had a hell of a time doing it so far. We will continue to prove ourselves on this realm and to the US and rise through the ranks in Cataclysm.
If you enjoy seeing all that this game has to offer, whether it be end game content, achievements, challenges, battlegrounds, social atmosphere, or just the sheer great feeling of working together to accomplish something, then Ascend may just be the place for you. We accomplish what the hardcore guilds do, but without the feeling of coming home to your 2nd job. The atmosphere here is nothing like you have been a part of, you can only come check it out for yourself.

What you will get from us:
* People that are on before and after raid time, not a dead guild in the off hours. There is ALWAYS something going on here, whether it be pvp, achievements, 10 mans, or different games such as DOTA, SC2, or Xbox Games.
* One of the most fair, drama free, loot distribution systems. We have NEVER had a loot issue in the history of our guild
* Min/Max attitude. Every raid has every buff, all raiders min/max their spec/gear/gems/ and enchants.
* No BS, quick, public, direct, honest feedback on mistakes, performance, and decisions
* Replacement on retard play and attitude, we don't keep around the people that weigh you down
* Very personal and involved trial process, we talk with you after each night you get to raid with us to see what you think of things and gives us the chance to tell you what we think of you.
* Very competent raid members, people who know how to play their class, not carrying dead weight
* Dedicated, focused, responsible leadership. GM/Raid Leader has many years of experience on all different characters, officers are in tune and on the same page. You can expect the leadership to make good decisions for the guild and know what they are talking about.
* An understanding that RL happens, that you want the night off sometimes, and a system put in place to be relaxed about taking time off, but serious about letting us know about it.
* A very willing and able team to help you with those nerd points, help you get into 10 mans and make you feel welcome, and lastly make the feeling of being nervous coming into a new group of people go away very quickly.
* A very open door policy, and we take care of our members, whether it be hearing out problems, or taking care of simple things such as gold problems ( gems, enchants, powerleveling professions ).

What we want from you:
* Someone who can take more than 5 minutes to fill out an app to showcase their ability as a player, their intelligence as a person, and some personality. Knowing how to use a spell check goes a long way, or formulating a sentence longer than 5 words. The amount of time you put into an app directly reflects the amount of time you will put into this guild.
* A raider who min/maxes their character. That includes gems, enchants, professions, gear choice, spec, and glyphs.
* The will and drive to have great attendance and want to help out in the guild in whatever way they can.
* Thick enough skin to take direct and blunt feedback. The ability to be able to handle racist, sexist, and elitist jokes. You need to be able to take some ridicule when you make a mistake, because you sure won't live it down that easy.
* Someone who loves to have fun, if you are looking for dead quiet serious raiding all the time, or you are shy/quiet, don't come here, we are serious when we need to be, but having fun all the other times.
* You better love raiding, whether it be old content, new content, achievements, or first boss kills, you show up no matter what bringing 110% each time. You should expect 110% from us here in Ascend, and you better be able to deliver the same to us.
* Be stable. If you are shipping out next month, getting a new job that interferes with raiding, have a controlling spouse, annoying kids, or are broke and can't fix their machine if it dies out, then don't come here, don't waste our time or your own.

Our recruitment process is thorough. We treat it as a job interview. We will screen you from the very beginning to see if you will be a good match for us.
