    Getting new computer, need advice.

    Hola, MMO-champion.

If i'm going to pass this year of school, which i most likely will, i can get a 2000 euro computer. I planned on doing something like...1100 euro for a computer, 200 for audio, and three screens. I have never done this, and would like some advice on which parts to get (Within my budget, ofcourse!)

What will you mostly be using the computer for? High-end gaming? Sound mixing? Photo/Video editing? 3D/Surround display setup?

I suggest one screen.. 24" is pretty good (about 150 - 200 euro), some Logitech Z5500 speakers (about 350 euro) then with 1500ish euro you could buy a pretty beastly CPU and motherboard (maybe 550ish if you buy with ram and CPU already overclocked) and an ATI 6990 card (520 -550ish I think) After that you'd probably have about 300 - 400 left to spend on a really good case and maybe invest in a closed watercooling system for your CPU.. they are awesome. Thats what I would do personally :P

Edit: Oh and don't forget your HDD, power supply and DVD drive unless you intend to use the ones from your current PC which I would recommend unless they are terrible, if it is your first time doing it you will most likely need a new power supply but HDD and DVD drive from your current PC should be fine.

Well depending what resolution are those monitors running 1080p? 1200p? 1600p?

CPU: i5 2500k (224$)(Only get a i7 if you realy got to much money)
    GPU: AMD 6970 msi (340$)
    Case:Haf 932 (160$)
Cpu Fan: Noctua ND 14 (90$) (Only the big radiator watercooler are better)
Motherboard: Asus p67 Deluxe (230$) (Could go with a pro depending if you need alot sata's)
    RAM:2x4 GB G-skill 1600mhz (99$)
HDD: WD Caviar black 1 Tb 6Gb/s (90$)
    PSU: 1000w Silverstone (150$)

This would cost 1383$(all prices from Newegg no Rebate or anything added)

With this setup you can run almost everything on max. The best games maybe not with 8AA 16AF mainly because you are going with 3 monitors those will eat you fps. If you want to run those at real high fps you need to think about SLI 580/ Crossfire 6970 (assuming 8AA 16AF and stable 60fps)

if you can get 1500$ like the post above you can get a I7 2600k + 6990/590.

For screen any 1080p 24 inch will do (if you wanne go nuts get a 120hz 24 inch but those go for 500$)

Are you going to use the stereo to watch movies on a big tv screen? If yes spend around 300$ else something for 150$ is fair enough, maybe its even better to get a headset

Except he's using Euro, which means Newegg is not available.

Still, that's a good baseline to build the system. If you need to trim costs, drop the video card to a HD 6950/GTX 560. I prefer the 2GiB variants.
    Super casual.

Thank you for the help! Do you guys think i should go with the three screen setup, or go for two instead and invest the saved money on computerparts?

Personally I don't like multiple monitors, if its just a really big screen your after you could get a projector :P but its really up to you, if you are playing games on two or three then the bevels will really annoy you and if you won't be gaming across the multiple monitors then they ain't much good

ah euro's my bad but still i guess you can get that setup for around 1100-1200Euro (Stuff in US is just way cheaper compared to EU

About the monitors i think the same as everoth go with 1 and a second cheap one for Trolling/Music/Porn

the 6970 from msi is a 2gb card . You could get a 6950 and flash it to a 6970 (only works with 2gb version)
