    Formatted HD Problems

I ended up with a pre-used computer over the weekend that I wanted to spruce up and use for gaming. But it had alot of crap on it that I wanted to get rid of, so the first thing I did was formatted the HD and put a fresh Windows on it. After I got that working I found some of the factory drivers on their website and got things like the internet and such working, but I'm having issues with some stuff now. My first issue is that when I try to install the sound drivers (Realtek HD Audio Drivers) I keep getting an error that says "Your system does not have Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture High Definition Audio bus driver installed". But when I go into my Device manager list, it's right there. My next issue is that some programs don't seem to work. I got things like Firefox installed, but when I went to try to play League of Legends to test out the new videocard I put into it (Radeon HD 5770) it doesn't launch. This has me more stumped then the Sound issues, because prior to the format, the computer ran LoL at 20-35 FPS with a nVidia 8500 GT.

Tried downloading sound drivers directly from Realtek instead?

I would update your dx9 installation, the latest published version was out on 18/4/2011 and has all the updates included. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en

Then i'd re-install the video driver and see how things are from their.

Ya I tried installing it that way, and the drivers would "install" but they don't show up in the device manager.

This seems to have fixed the issues with games not loading.
