I think they are 27 years old as a race? Iirc they first appeared 25 years before the events at the start of GW2 and I think two years have passed in game since then.

I haven't played for about 5 months. Now I hear people talking about some WvW stacks(stacking?) that are required for competitive play. What's this about?

Generally, in WvW, when people refer to stacking; they mean standing on top of one another to more easily share buffs and to force more aoe abilities to max out targets (5 I think) and not pick off stragglers. If you have more context, and this doesn't sound like it could be the answer, let me know.

Yea, I know that. Also there's stacking from sigils. However, people are talking about some permanent (stacking?) feature that is linked to the character you played most with(WvW rank?)...

You might be thinking of WvW experience where you gain levels/ranks in WvW and each time you gain one you get a point you can spend specializing your Characters in WvW. Right now it different per character, but soon (tm) they'll make that across the account.

No idea. I know in a future patch they plan on collecting all of your wvw experience so that your account has a wvw level rather than each character having their own. That could also be refered to as stacking. Could that be it?

I found it out, its 115 points spent in Guard Killer and 115 points in Defence Against Guards.

eg: Add 1 stack of Applied Strength on killing a guard, lord or supervisor
Guard Leech: Increases power and condition damage by 20 (max stack of 5, stacks are lost on death)

As a personal recommendation for your wvw build:
A.- Get the supply mastery talent up to its 4th tier (chance of free supply when building) asap
B.- Get 1pt of repair mastery (build mastery is optional but it's really good on organized play)

-Those are the bases of the build, then you can chose depending on your wvw group either to specialize in siege weaponry, ideally rams or trebuchets (due to trebs being able to screw up enemy supply and rams for easier gate breaking)-

If your group already have specialists then you should jump to the vitality-toughness stacking buff, you want to be tougher rather than damaging (gives 2.5k hp, not a small ammount for possible roaming fights)
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35

Depends on what you play and how you play it. Assassin sniper teams prefer power for instance since you can go in try to oneshot and run away in stealth if need be.
In most cases, I understand the other side's viewpoint and how they came to it, but cannot tolerate their stubbornness to not see mine (the right one).

Yeah, it's recommended for thief disruption groups :P!

Teasers about the upcoming big feature patch:

More information on this feature release will come available after the current living world arc wraps up.

A feature release is not an expansion, it’s a release focused on game features. Examples of game features we’ve done in the past would be: guild missions, account achievement system, spectator mode, new pvp maps, daily world boss chests, removing culling and giving visibility options, the WvW WxP system, etc.

what features are being teased then?

That is not a teaser that is a reminder.

So, just to be clear, we're getting no content for a couple months? (season is 7 weeks?)

  15. #32935
What I assume you'll see over the coming months:

    Season 1 Eplilogue
Bazaar of the Four Winds returns
    April Fools patch
    Feature Patch
    WvWvW Tourney Mixed In

And then first rumblings of Season 2 after that.

  16. #32936
Sorry, misread "end of season 1 living story" as "end of new season of Wv". Was thinking "nothing until May?"...

  17. #32937
March 18th will just be the wrap up of the LS - shouldn't be any actual LS content. It is also the balance patch so rune and sigil update that will cause mass chaos among the meta.

There will most likely be an April first patch. Possibly SAB again but who knows. After that is the feature patch will come out possibly in May or June and of course the Tourney to mix things up.

Horrifying thought, ain't it? GW2 has created a playerbase of the most ravenous consumers of content in the history of MMOs lol.

Btw, the WvW Tournament is nine weeks.

March 18th is not the balance patch.
