Might be that they're holding it back for a major content patch or expansion.
Not only the cloaks. I'm missing the awesome flags or curtains that were hanging down in some palaces in Elona. It was the first true gold color I've seen in a video game because of the awesome light effects. But yes, time for awesome cloaks.

There's only two or three "revealing" sets for Heavy sadly.
http://i.minus.com/j5N8DEkx91zO9.jpg is the only one I like, minus the helm.

Yea, the only truly revealing armors are light armor. Otherwise you are mostly covered from head to toe in GW2. Especially in heavy armor where you basically look like a man with a few exceptions. :/

    Some sampled armors:

    and also: http://www.gw2armor.com/

Which lets you preview the karma, crafted and dungeon armor for men/ladies, by race and type. Pretty helpful as everything is a mere variation on the same dozen or so sets.

Yeah I'm kind of disappointed with the Heavy Armours..The only one I like is the one from TA and the Sylvari cultural ones. But it's a Heavy armour after all, it's not supposed to be revealing I guess

Kind of find that amusing. People complain about revealing heavy armour from like wow and tera, and with Gw2 there arent enough :|

  9. #28989
I love Tera's art style though! I find a lot of GW2's armors and clothes sorta lackluster/generic. It's all drab.

    Do not enjoy WoW.

I hated most of the revealing GW1 sets. On my Elementalist, I stuck with Canthan Elite (dyed white was so pretty omg) and Obsidian, mostly. I was like that gearing up in GW2, as well. If I had a set that made me feel like it was showing off too much, I hated it and didn't spend more than 3/4 of a level before I got fed up enough to just transmute it to Heritage gear again.

    eww... ;p

I don't mind GW2s armor, some of them are quite nice. WoW's armor...ugh (actually the whole art style makes me throw up). A couple of games that I really like their armors are Vindictus and some of the end game Khitai armor in Age of Conan.

Yea, Vindictus is another game I really enjoy the art style of. Like a lot.

    Tera did me no wrongs.

    GW2... erm, not so much.

That is some ugly stuff for us heavy armor peeps in GW2. :'(

    My ranger looks much cooler.

I'm working on getting my Ranger the t3 cultural armor for Norn. It is the best medium armor look in the game, in my humble opinion. Too bad it costs so much but I'll get there eventually.

I like the Norn t1 cultural medium chest armor. It's super pretty. Wish I could remove the dreamcatcher on the right hip though. But the chain around the waist and fold over are nice.

T3 has like a billowing rump. Makes your butt look enormous. Do not enjoy.

To be fair, that's with fugly dyes and low resolution. This is a pretty unfair comparison.

Dyes and a good combination of colors can make a huge difference, I agree.

Somewhat. Dyes can't change the style of the armors though.

Really not appealing regardless of color to me.

Can dye armor in Tera btw.

I'm going for the t3 human medium cultural armour. Underboob FTW.
