Cosplay is basically the hobby of making costumes of popular fictional characters/etc for cons and gatherings, Japanese in origin. It's a bit fancier then just "fancy dress" a lot of hard work often goes into sculpting, making and designing the costume/effects. Of course there are many beautiful results from cosplay and some... not so beautiful results.

and my eye colour is dark brown/hazel, some days they do seem to get a greenish tint to them, I think a lot of brown eyes do

... odd you should say that, as i've been known to dress up as THIS Batman supervillain (I'm dyspraxic so it took me forever to stitch to costume markings, big achievement for me)
