just to clarify NAT
your PC sees 192.168.1.104 as it's IP,
your modem has say a 69.20.12.152
you can't use a 192 address to connect to the internet, 192 is a private network, so in order for your router to keep track of what data from the internet goes to what home computer address, it uses NAT (network address translation) is does this by assigning a port to your computer, and anything sent outside your LAN by that computer has the port attached, the internet sees it as: 69.20.12.152:64012, not 192.x.x.x

Might be a bit outdated though. :/
An update: I think I'm gonna go with http://www.netgear.com/home/products.../wndr4000.aspx - I was finally able to find some up to date "Best Gaming Wireless Routers" lists, and it won the majority of them. I've never been a Netgear fan, but I think my opinion was effected by working with way out of date models.
