Just bad in general. I take it you're looking to buy prebuilt and not interested in building your own?

The dual-core processor and low-end video card are going to both bottleneck big time. For that cost, you could have a decently powerful i5-2500K based system if you build it yourself. Is that an option?

It does look like this is a pre-build. Someone is trying to mess with you. If they are charging you more than $300 for this, you are getting way ripped off.

Outdated hardware. Way outdated. I mean like 2008 outdated.

    $900 you say?

    PARTS : CPU : i5 2500K - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072 - $224.00

    PARTS : Cooling Fans : Coolermaster 212 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065 - $35.00

    PARTS : Motherboards : ASRock H61MU3S3 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157236 - $80.00

    PARTS : Memory : G.Skill 2x4GB 1333 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231311 - $85.00

    PARTS : Video & TV Cards :GeForce GTX 560Ti (Gigabyte) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125363 - $250.00

    PARTS : Hard Drives: 500.0GB WD Caviar Black - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136795 - $60.00

PARTS : Cooling Fans : HD Fans : NONE - you dont need these

    PARTS : CD/DVD/R/RW Drives : Samsung - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151233 - $20

PARTS: Case - $100 (Mid Tower)

    PARTS: PSU - Corsair 650W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005 - $90

    TOTAL PRICE: $944.00

This computer is beastly and should last your 2-3 years before you need to make any sort of changes. Even then, since its new generation hardware, you can swap out only things like CPU (for a faster one) or your vid card (for a better one). All other parts whoudl be good.

    ---------- Post added 2011-04-27 at 01:28 PM ----------

You could save about $15 by going with a SATA 2 HD.
You could also save about $30 going with Rosewill 630W 80 Certified http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182200 Also a good PSU.

That brings you down to 900.

Now you still need a Monitor, a keyboard and mouse. But you can get those on the cheaper.

He could also save about $50 by going for the non-K version of the CPU and leaving the stock heat sink on, as the H61 board there doesn't do overclocking.

Something in the GTX460 1GiB non-SE range for video cards plus a P67 based motherboard and 4GiB RAM will do better all around. Yes, the GTX560 is faster, but the GTX460 is no slouch, and the P67 will at least allow CPU overclocking. The rest is upgradeable in time much more easily than the motherboard.
    Super casual.

You are correct. Saves himself another $15. Blonde moment.

    i5 2500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115073 - $209

    H61 mobo, 2500k.... No. Either pick the H61 mobo and a i5-2500, or a P61 board and an i5-2500K

Thanks guys, I didn't realize how out of date this was. I'm really glad I asked. I will do some more looking around and I will be asking again. Btw I have very little knowledge of actually building a computer so I think that as of now it would be best left for someone with more experience.

Hmm you could try CyberPowerPC.com if you don't want to build it yourself...

You'd probably still get better price/performance ratio by buying parts (easy enough to find help parting one out) then having a local computer store build it, or just check everything has at least a 7 day warranty (most do) and have a go at building it up yourself it will help you a lot with understanding how to fix things if they ever go wrong and it's a good thing to know.

Silly question, but does CyberPowerPC.com ship outside the US? Ran into that issue a bunch of places, and I'd like to find out before trying anything. :P

I know you're probably not looking to build your own computer, but I just ordered a 2500k, 8 gigs of ram, a p67 mobo(MSI), and a new case for around 550. I'll be using the hd and gfx card in my computer now, and that setup will blow away your dual core setup your posting about. Need to shop around, if not with buying parts and putting it together yourself, then check with local computer shops to build it for you. With a 900 budget you can put together a sweet system that'll last you for years, not year like yours will.

Bah, and here it was looking sweet. But nooooooo, British people need to actually get paid for their work.
Looking to either get or make myself a computer for £1000'ish with the sole intention of not having to think about purchasing another for years.

But alas, I live in Norway.
