t12 item level

I was curious if anyone knew from datamining or interviews what the item level for T12 normal mode will be. I couldn't find it, and I'm hoping it's not a massive leap - I think Blizzard said they are going to try to avoid massive leaps after the lessons of Wrath?

im guessing REG gear will be a middle ground between REG and H T0 gear much like 25 man HToC to 10 man ICC.

I reckon normal firelands gear will either be 372 or 379ilvl. Or somewhere in between.

379 probably normal firelands, or 382, with heroic at 389 or so.. Does it really matter though, it's just a number .

I saw a 379 some where a while back with some 4.2 preview blue, so i guess 392 for heroic

I believe that data mined items from a way back were 378/391 which would make sense (being 6 ilvls ahead of current gear, still inferior to Sinestra gear, as a blue pointed out ages ago, and 13 ilvls between normal and heroic).

EDIT: it was said in a blue post sometime last year that they work in the "magic number" of 13 on ilvl becasuse it balances perfectly or something. cant find the blue if someone else could would be great.

It would actually be:
Normal: 385
Heroic: 398

Because you add 13 to the top tier of heroic gear which is currently 372. And Blizzard has also already explained that the huge item level jumps in Wrath happened because they weren't planning on heroic versions of fight catching on as well as they did. And that is why stat capping began to happen towards the end of Wrath.

Traditionally normal mode items have been 6 ilevels higher than the heroic ilevel from the previous tier. Then 13 ilevels higher for the heroic loot of the same tier.

Go back and look at Ulduar to TOTC to ICC.

It should be 378 and 391 in Tier 12 *if* they follow the same pattern. Sinestra's loot was supposed to be bonus loot and not effect the tier model.

Normal mode is 378, exactly 19 ilvls higher than normal mode 359. This is in-line with the usual design in Wrath, where regular mode loot from the next tier is a very modest grade to the prior heroic gear.

It seems as though, from regular 25, to go up 19 points per tier. The heroic item level go up 13 more than the regular mode gear per tier.

Give or take a point or two and this sounds about right. Regardless, yes, normal loot will be higher ilvl than current heroic loot.

I guess I was wondering if it would be different based on Blizzard's sentiment that they didn't want the previous tier of raid content becoming obsolete right away. I would expect initially that T12 normal mode is easier than T11 HM, so it seems like if they both dropped approx the same item level, that would be okay.

atlasloot has the new trinkets listed and they are 378 for normal and 391 for heroic
