Questions on mobo's and power supply

I've had some great help in putting together a decent build, but i have some remaining questions:
Based on a number of "best buy list" 2 different mobo's came up:
    1) MSI P67A-GD55
    2) Asrock P67 Pro3 (B3)
The second one is ~20 euro cheaper, and has been given a comment of "less good" - What are the differences between mobo's in general (i always thought: if you can plug all the components you have on, they're good), and these in specific?
I just recieved notice of an unexpected 100 euro comming in - so i do have the cash for the "upgrade", worth it?
I also have the option to get a 1 week old: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-C43--B3-.html for somewhat below new price - is that thing any good?

And: My friend didn't have a spare power supply after all - so i'll have to be getting one myself.
To sum up the build im likely going for:
    cpu: i5:2500k
gpu: MSI GTX560 Twin Frozr II
    mobo: one of the above
    Ram: 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3-1333 Corsair CL9
    HDD: 7200 RPM sata
and a regular DVD drive + 2-4 case fans.

What kind of Wattage should i be getting to safely run this? Also: i might want to OC the cpu/gpu later, or add a SSD if they cheapen up a bit - i dont want the power supply to cap that too quickly. What kind of brands should i be looking it for an affordable but decent power supply?

They both seem like solid boards. The main difference between them is the MSI has support for SLI and Crossfire which would be using two of the same graphics card because it has two PCIE slots on it. Whereas the ASRock has one PCIE slot for one graphics card, you dont look like your going for SLI or Crossfire so save 40 bucks and get the ASRock, a 650 Watt power supply should be fine for what your planning, my brand of choice is Corsair.

If you plan to crossfire, you should have a 750W power supply. 650W is enough for a one card setup.

Corsair, Antec, or Cooler Master power supplies, you can't go wrong.

I just compared that motherboard with the ASRock as they were both in the same price range, between the two boards motherboard layout and what they support is similiar so that isnt a problem. The MSI is slightly less expensive but people were complaining of a few things such as the motherboard making noises unless the 'green' friendly functions in the BIOS were turned off or it keeping fans at 100% speed. I'd personally go with the ASRock as I didnt see any complaints about it in comparison to the MSI.

this is a good indicator of how many watts you will need, make sure to give yourself some headroom on the wattage though (20-50) above their reccomended

Using that, even with adding an ssd the minimum doesnt go over 350 - and the recommended 400.
Seeing people recommended 650 either i must be missing something, or people are taking a LOT of leeway for overclocking or w/e ?

I built a pretty similar rig about 3 weeks ago... my list is at my wife's site, http://radkitten.nu/

    I went with a 530W PSU.

Are you looking primarily at WoW/gaming?

The 650w PSU would give you headroom for a second video card at some point... Quad Frozr

That i5 2500k is a beast- it will OC up to like 4.4 GHZ on the stock HSF.

I'm gonna get one in a couple months, along with another 4gb of ram.

Myeh, but im not really planning to SLI or crossfire - i'm also getting a mobo that doesnt support it so leeway for a second video card is absolutely unrequired :P

650 watts will be plenty for you. It takes an SLI GTX470 to break 700 watts at full load, so unless you get a crappy power supply, that'll be enough for any single-card consumer setup.

    Here:
    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU11/233

Power consumption graphs. I think Anandtech's system is an i7-950 or thereabouts, they test at the wall, and there are only three setups that went significantly past 600 watts (the GTX590 and HD 6990 are not on the list.)
