    The Constant Gardener

Not a movie with amazing graphics like some listed in here, but the story is quite.. compelling. The book is highly recommendable as well.

    memoires of a geisha.

The lead in it is... the character is amazing, talented and beautiful, both the adult and child actress have some real ability, not a moment feels acted, there is just a real sense of genuine about the whole movie. It seems to appeal to a wide base of people without losing itself.
The production is top notch, and I am not sure but I think they got a few different awards for cinematography or what-have-you.
Everyone involved in making it has exceptional talent and it shows.
By far one of the best movies I have ever seen.

The original 'Crouching tiger hidden dragon', not the remake.
To be honest, it's less bull more story. And no, I can't see wires everywhere.

Only one film can be considered the best ever.

    rules for best ever:

    1. Has to have repeat quality
    2. Has to be well written
    3. Has to be well acted
    4. Has to be well Directed
    5. Has to be Dark
    6. Has to be Sci-Fi
    7. Has to be able to be shown in film school as an example of a well made film
    8. Has to have Harrison Ford in it
    9. Has to have Dolph Lundgren in it.
    10. has to have a minimum of 5 versions released all giving it a different feel.
    11. people have to still debate the meaning of the movie.

So many good ones, and respect for those who mentioned Hudson Hawk and Equilibrium!

I couldn't make it through all the pages so don't know if it was mentioned, but one of my favorite comedies will always be High Strung. Jim Carrey was a pretty funny Death in that movie. However if you want something to just 100% click your brain off and smile to, I'd go with Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

For a more serious movie I'd go with City of Lost Children, The Wrestler, Big Fan, or Grave of the Fireflies.

Least you try and live up to your name.
You can tell WoW changed the MMO for good when players started complaining about the amount of time they sink, into a time sink.
