Nah GS is fine for chimearon, Chimearon is not gonna hit for 350k+ unless you have like 4 break stacks or some shit, at which point you should ask yourself why you would have that. You pop guardian spirit on the tank when you enter feud, so you don't have to spam him up for the first hit or you spam him up and then use guardian spirit as an external cooldown for the double attack.

Do u really do the taunt at 2 breaks method? Have 1 tank 4 stack break in normal the 1 OT taunts double attacks. In heroic The OT's switch back and forth as to cycle CDs especially during Feud. So yes in quite a few Guilds a break tank could simply be a DPS tanking chimaeron 5sec swing timer no beath above 10k...id say yes GS can falter as i have seen it happen.

The dot that is ticking every sec could kill the tank at 1 hp as easily as taking melee swing. Bubble tank as soon as it hits 1 hp then GS. We couldn't get the 2 break method to work, took to much in healing.
