Mage, Rogue, DK Who are Darksun and what do we offer you?
Darksun is a PvE(25) guild that has been around on Bloodfeather since vanilla times and has always been one of the top guilds on the server. We consider ourselves to be ‘semi-hardcore’, meaning we aim for max PvE progression yet not spending quite as much time raiding as regular hardcore guilds do. As far as loot distribution is concerned we use a dkp system in favor of a loot council. If you are looking for a guild with quality raids, yet you do not want to raid 6 times a week, 5 hours a day, then Darksun might just be the place for you.
Our raid times:
We raid 4 days a week from 20:00 till 23:30 server time (wednesday, thursday, sunday and tuesday). We occasionally extend raids by 30 minutes when we are close to a new kill. On other days there might be some alt or 10 man raids but these are not mandatory.
What do we expect/require from you?
- A stable internet connection and adequate hardware to perform in raids. We use ventrilo 3.0 to communicate so you are required to have this. A working microphone is a big plus, especially for tanks.
- The ability to attend at least 3 out of 4 raids a week on avarage, needless to say being available for all 4 is preferable.
- We communicate in english so a good understanding of the english language is mandatory. We do not want to see any other language in the guild chat or on vent (as long are there are people in the channel that do not speak the same language as you).
- A thorough understanding of your class and spec (how to optimise your gear? what is your optimal pve rotation? how to make the best use of all your spells and class mechanics?).
- The ability to properly handle fight-specific machanics. Examples: Avoiding fires, stop/start dps at appropriate times, cc’ing or kiting if this is required from your class, what do I do when I have debuff X?). Of course some mistakes can be made, especially on new encounters, but mistakes are there to be learned from. We will not sit around while you make the same mistakes time after time.
- The ability to handle criticism from the raid leader/officers well. We generally have a nice raid atmosphere but if you are failing you will hear about it, and not always in a nice way, deal with it.
- A pve offspec unless you are told by one of the officers you do not need one. (This shouldn't be a problem even if you like to pvp since respeccing is so cheap now)
