Legendaries create an unfair playing field and should be removed

Ok why blizz dint make this legendary quest for all classes why have to be only class specific.That`s why i wont raid anymore in hardcore guild for what reason to help on some officer to get their legendary ?.O we will kill content faster with that dude yea sure just like was happen with ICC one we gather items for warrior he left the guild after this we make it for DK and he stop to going on raids because he have no gear to get.The quest should offer legendary for all classes and items to be like normal quest ones looted by every person in the raid who got the quest ofc that on Hero mode to can after all we say that is legendary no easy peasy normal quality epic

I'm not concerned about getting or not getting a legendary (I think I would feel cheap actually to have something like that). I'm fairly surprised that I'm getting flamed this hard to be honest, when all I'm pointing out that in a competitive (too many mistakes or not enough dps and you are out - reality for people who take raiding "seriously" like me) environment, the people competing should be on an equal playing field.

So, using your sports analogy, athletes shouldn't be encouraged to train harder to have a step up on the competition?

soccer is also a team sport, with out the other people the one star wouldn't matter. just like a raid, one player cant solo a boss. (unless your a dk and doing old content) and it's a team effort to help the player get the weapon in the first place.

I completely agree with the OP about making a Legendary staff and it being a bad idea.

They should instead make a Legendary item that my Enhancement Shaman can use <3

I should also add that the Op's post is rather selfish.

When I raid I'm excited for any upgrade a guildie gets. The team dynamic isles important than "omg they're gonna beat me on dps"

Honestly the fact that they are giving guildies a slight reward justifies it, it gives eveyone something to show the effort they put forth

Raiding is about being a team, so you do what will help the team as a whole, even if it means giving something like a legendary to someone else. Basically its greed and selfishness

Like society, this game should not be brought to it's lowest common denominator.

The game is built upon effort and reward, not on socialism.

Pretty much this. These things only come along so often too. We've always though of a legendary as something that helps kill the hard bosses that much faster. And for the people saying anyone/any class should be able to get one... if a legendary isn't amazing and everyone can get one its just another purple.

If a guild is good enough to get a legendary, then every member should be proud to get one, whoever it goes to.

What I do think is unfair however, is the comments such as 'well if someone else deserves it more than you then you just suck'. Many bigger guilds will have to face a tough decision because they will probably have a few candidates. Some will either lose out or will have to wait their turn. This doesn't mean they 'suck' at all, someone else is just that bit better. That's almost sharing the original sentiment of this thread, I feel, of 'so because that guy at the top of the meter is 2k ahead of the rest, the rest must just suck'.

they should get rid of the "shard" system, and make it a drop chance just as we saw at illidan/Kj. the randomness makes it legendary. not the "in 2 weeks i will get it since i get xx shards every week on Average" thats not legendary. thats just a grind.

Hmm i guess you could also Raid because... Its fun ?
