    Seems legit

Got this email recently. I made a macro and sat at my computer jamming F12 (Bound to repeatedly press 1 while held down) in World of Warcraft, and it's not exactly asking me if I want to confirm my e-mail address. Just a little concerned that I'm starting to get emails to my non-public email address. (I guess it's public now, but oh well.)
Either way, it seems pretty legit. >.>

noreply@blizzard.com is the official email address, to my knowledge.

Everyone can spoof this. The email is obviously fake.

I still wouldn't trust an email even if it looks legit, just go to the blizzard website (manually through your browser) and see what's up

That looks.... really fake lol. The way it's worded even is unlike anything from Blizzard that I've seen (I've been suspended before a few times).

Go to the blue thing where it says "Reply", click on the arrow and select "Show original"
On "Received" you should see the original server and not the spoofed one.

To those who think I'm sarcastic: I really was using an outside program. Shame on me. It just seemed rather ironic.

31 hours. Who the fuck bans for 31 hours?

    Fake.

    Move on.

Yeah... The grammar in that screams non-English speaking "give me your gold" scam.

    Definitely the biggest giveaway.

I'm pretty sure anyone that has completed an elementary class on grammar could tell you that this was a poor phishing attempt.

Hotmail is really easy to spoof and the emails from it don't go to the spam folders very often. This problem has existed for years and apparently Microsoft isn't doing anything about it.

    It is obviously fake, buuut..
Out of curiosity; Where does the phishing occur? ;O
Is the link masked? Do they want you to send information to a "noreply"-address? I'm confused.

Your mail client thinks its fake, and the English is terrible.

I never get spam emails, they all end up in my spam folder in GMail.

    Also,

    16. Posting about "Blizzard" Emails will earn you an Infraction!
We know they are 99.99% scams, you don't need to warn people, you don't need to ask if it is a scam. Stop posting about them. Read this and don't ask questions answered by following the steps.

Blizzard will never ask for your username or password, and they will never send some weird-looking link to you.

If you ever have any doubts, www.battle.net and log in there. If you're not banned there, the email is obviously fake.
