    T12 Tanking Weapon Options

I had been told that DKs no longer benefited from agility in regards to dodge/parry. But others are now saying that this is not true. Now, aside from the fact that the previewed gear has a menagerie of different ilevels and stats that could be changed, what thinks you all of this polearm for tanking purposes?

Seems something with agi>str and mastery would be a beneficial choice for a blood tank. Especially an avoidance based one.

Shattarath is kinda pretty but outside is a technicolor nightmare that looks like someone tied horses to the contrast slider and fired a rifle

Sulfuras indeed be a nice option, and better for mastery builds cause it has more. But who knows what the actual ilevel on this gear will be by the time it's released. How about, hypothetically, just a mastery+stam+agi weapon vs. a master+stam+str weapon?

I haven't seen a 2H weapon with avoidance on it so this is a very viable tank weapon. Unfortunately the Crit is next to worthless for a tank which does put a strike against it vs Akirus.

The four elements, like man alone, are weak. But together they form the strong fifth element: Boron.

If i am not completely wrong, Agi still grants more avoidance per point then Str, even tho DKs get fare less dodge from it then Paladins. So if Threat is not a Problem in T12 (which shouldn't be the case thanks to Vengeance scaling with Stamina), Agi weapons will pobably be better in terms of survivability.

I'm not sure where you got the info about agi no longer benefiting us, I haven't heard anything the like.

As for the weapons: The Polearm is quite nice, but so are the sword and the Axe. Sulfuras seems to be a HM only weapon judging from the ilvl.

All three non heroic weapons are decently itemized, and the fact that the Polearm has Agi and crit should balance out the other two which have Str and Haste.
I'll probably go for the axe, since the expertise I get from it should give it the edge over the rest. But I'll take whatever I can get my hands on first and be happy.

    Edit: Those are the options:

    http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/70165/w...ers-harvester/

Well, and http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/70723/s...nguished-hand/ but as I said I'm 99% certain it'll be HM only. Possibly Ragnaros HM only looking at the name

Definitely looks like Axe > Sword > Harvester. Mostly due to haste/mastery vs crit/mastery. Wouldn't really count the 391 as it's going to be out of reach of most players.

It'll certainly be Rag only. They said so in the video. Don't remember if they said there'd be non-heroic versions. Maybe the haven't put it in yet, but likely, it won't be happening.

And Surreal, why is it that haste is favored over crit again? haste is faster rune regen and more DS, and crit doesn't affect DS healing?

Haste is like you said faster rune regen. Crit only provides a dps/threat increase. And DS heals are only based on damage taken/ maximum health.
