    Any Decent Reforge sites?

Are there any for Frost as of 4.0.6?

As I learned from my rogue, I can not manually reforge nearly as well as a computer can.

Very useful site, at least from what I've heard from other players. Good amount of customization, tells you optimal reforging, enchants, blarg... I haven't explored it that much, but it's good!

Is a good option too, and it calculates up to 4 or 5 different sets of reforging based on stat weights (editable) and caps.

Thank you both for the responses.

    Tried using that, and...

"Could not allocate space for object 'dbo.ToonGear'.'UIX_ToonGear_Unique_Slot_ToonSpec' in database 'SQL2008_702944_beta' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup."

    ....wut.

You have to take my opinion with a little bit of a grain of salt... but I think that wowreforge.com can be a very misleading site. It has functionality that is useful, but it also includes options/functionality that is bad logic which propagates misinformation to many players. Here is a post by Yellowfive explaining some of the things to look out for:

(In item number 1 there is a type-o, Yellow means that wowreforge only does reforges [not enchants].)

Failed to parse info from page http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...daciana/simple for Daciana @ Stormrage [US] ?

In game I use reforginator but this is mostly on classes/specs that have a very defined X > Y > Z stat break down OR to quickly get back to a hit/expertise cap after picking up new gear (like 3 drops in one ZA run) while in game.

Otherwise I use www.askmrrobot.com and have been happy with it outside of a few things on the tanking side, but those have already been discussed elsewhere.

Also, LOL at that thread. I don't see how using a forging/gemming/gearing site means you don't know your class. The truly terrible players don't even know these tools exist. It does help if you understand "why" they are making the recommendations though.

The four elements, like man alone, are weak. But together they form the strong fifth element: Boron.

That is because it's strictly a reforging tool, and not an all-in-1 optimizer like mr. robot; so it will only optimize stats that you can reforge, while completely ignoring your enchant/gemming choices (at most, it will only toss visual warnings about items without gems/enchants).

I don't think this is misleading at all, it just does what it is supposed to do. But if you need a complete min maxing from all points of view then yes, I suggest hitting the robot site for full info/details.

Bysu, the misleading part of the site is how it handles caps. It allows you to force conditions which are incorrect logic for a gear optimizer - it allows users to find solutions which are less optimal, and allows them to continue thinking that their logic for doing so is correct. In our opinion, theorycrafting tools should not provide options which are sub-optimal just because a number of people don't understand how the problem works. Instead, we should be showing people the correct logic for gear optimization. Hit and expertise caps, in particular, are one of the areas where there has been so much sloppy theorycraft, that it is very much an uphill battle to explain to folks the correct way to approach optimizing for a cap.

Also, a tool which is strictly a reforge optimizer will often never find the optimal set of reforges: they depend on the gems and enchants! So, you are right, it does what it is "supposed" to do... but it will not find you the best solution in many cases.

I use reforginator in-game, but I make new "sets" for all specs/classes just so I can edit my own weights, since theorycrafting can change faster than the mod updates.

I've been finding reforgemaster.com works fairly well. You can upload from armory, edit stat weights and caps. It will give you 5 options, some of which are complete garbage. On my dk though it managed to reforge me 1 over hit cap and 3 over expertise cap, rating of course, and still maintain 2K+ haste. Just remember, optimizers are merely guidelines, use you brain and make decisions based off info gathered from them and prosper.
