Neither. I tend to like the games with powerful atmosphere the most. Be it majestic sights or tiny rooms with a crooked clock. Unfortunately that needs at least decent graphics in most cases.
As for aestetics, yea, thats important too but personally cartoony and unrealistic (as in huge heads or sholders and such, can be surreal or ignore some laws of physics though) generally makes me move on or causes a negative reaction.
