So I've finally decided that I should get a new computer after this 6 year old one suddenly froze and then basically died during a hard restart. I had to reformat and reinstall everything, which rather irritates me seeing it's a Dell product and the way they handle all of that installation (ie 3 different CD-ROMs) is a bit ridiculous.
So these are the current parts I'm looking into:
Case - COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Black Steel + Plastic and Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Motherboard - ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GPU - ASUS EAH6950 DCII/2DI4S/2GD5 Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
PSU - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RS800-80GAD3-US 800W ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K
HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Optical Drive - ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM
CPU Fan/Heatsink - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler
Monitor - ASUS VH236H Black 23" Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor w/ Speakers
Still debating about memory but it's most likely going to end up Kingston HyperX brand since I live about 40 minutes from Kingston's home office in CA. With the cost of everything (I can get a few parts at Fry's for cheaper than listed above) the total price cost comes down to about $1500. (That's including the Windows 7 OEM copy from newegg at $100)
The main question I have is if the GPU is going to even fit in the case. I've heard a ton of good things about the HAF series, especially the 922, but I've also heard and seen what a complete monster the ASUS GPU is. Looking at the dimensions, it should fit, but I'm still not entirely sure.
Thoughts?
Edit - Sorry, fixed links.

I've also thought of stepping down on the monitor to only a 21.5" instead of a 23". Only reason why I picked the 23 was because Fry's has a pretty nice deal on it with a MIR for $50 making it $129.99.
My guild master, who is pretty affluent in this kinda stuff, says it looks good, and also recommended going with a lower amount of higher MHz RAM. So I was looking into 4G of DDR3 1600 from Kingston. And I've also been looking at getting a Z68-V Pro instead of the P67 Deluxe. From the few reviews I have seen of it, people say it's a much more solid motherboard than any of the P67s and it's also a little cheaper right now.
