I don't know the story that well, but my cousin does. He says that it is more like the cartoon version that they did in the 90's (I think he said the 90's). Regardless, it looks badass to me. I'm pumped for this flick.

I just hope Bishop is a main cast member rather then b-list role and gets a bigger role in the next film after this one.

To me it sounds like "Hey guys, we have these 'old' X-Men movies, and we have a few Origin movies, now what if we simply combine them?!"
Wolverine won't carry this movie really, but I'll probably watch it simply for Michael Fassbender.

Pretty sure Jean and Cyclops aren't in this. I've seen no mention of their actors reprising their roles.
Hell, Cyclops was only killed in the Last Stand because he wanted nothing to do with the movie. It was like "Fine, can you do five minutes and then you're gone?"

It's also billed as a "Direct Sequel to The Last Stand" so I don't think much retconning is in order.
