SYSTEM rights on old files

I'd forgotten about its existence, but my computer has a lot of bloated bullshit from when I upgraded to Windows 7.

I cannot delete it because it's owned by SYSTEM. Apparently. However, transferring ownership with cmd.exe didn't fix anything. I was for some mysterious reason no longer myself according to the computer. -_- (Something ala "This action cannot be performed by any other than Drunkenvalley." Despite that being me.)

Any general clues as to how I can go about getting rid of it?
