Rofl Oblivion had a storyline? Oblivion's Story was a joke compared to most RPGs.

It started really great imo, but as i said, what they did to it was like if in LOTR, after the fellowship was formed, Frodo broke a leg and they'd all go "aaaw to bad now, cya guys later"...
There was no goal in Oblivion's story, or at least one you actually cared about. If they made it more personal it would be loads better.
i spent so much time in oblivion. it's amazing. sit down, relax for a few hours, and let your mind and imagination take over.
being a vampire and still beat the entire game?
that was sick xD

indeed, i fell in love with the view when i was walking on a mountain surrounding the imperial city and just looking at that landscape.
Story-wise? As soon as I got to Kvatch and saw how the gates really fuck with people's lives. Saving refugees, fighting with the leftovers of the guard, venturing blindly into a Daedric Deathtrap; It was an immense experience.

I can somewhat agree with you, but after a while closing all those gates was more of a grind than actually interesting gameplay...
btw, i have mixed feeling with the xpack (cnat remember its name), all that madness was a funny addition to the game, yet it all felt very vague...
Do you know what RPG i'd really like to play?
Fable.
Not fable 1, tlc, 2 or 3, no..... the "Fable" Peter Moulineux keeps talking about every time he is asked to comment on the game, since before fable 1 was released on the original xbox. The hability to ride horses and other things you promised us? sure that would be nice. And while you're at it, less anti-climax endings like fable 2 had please.... and please, really please, forget that silly idea you had to turn fable on an action game that breed with a drunken homeless sims....
/fablerant
Played it and beat it, I didn't do every quest out there, but I just wanted to be done with the game most of all, I did a lot of the guild quest though,
The thieves guilds
That vampire guild.
warriors guilds.
Other then that though it was really breath taking or stunning I was just bored the AI of the game made it weak sauce. same with how item gathering worked. Just the leveling system in general sucked ass.
Not gonna lie, once I started playing I played only that game for over a month straight. It's just that immersive; you can get sucked in for hours on end. My advice would be buying it for the PC because once you get into modding, you can really extend the game into anything you want it to be.
I dont get it why people hate Oblivion and say things like storyline sucked etc
In oblivion u had a choice to roam and delay main quest where in other RPGs u are FORCED into doing stuff and u cant explore shit ,only see what they want u to see
The first time i tried to play it, i quit not long after the sewers. But i tried it again a few months later when i had friends telling me about the different guilds. Once i started with them especially the darkbrotherhood i was hooked.
I enjoyed the game, but the Dark Brotherhood is the part that made me melt down into a puddle of nerd tears
I accidentally my signature
It didn't suck me in. I basically played it because I bought it, beat it, then went back to Morrowind.
Dark brotherhood is IMO still the sweetest questline ever
Ummm.....getting to the Blades fortress the first time. That was neat. I like snowy places in games. After that though, I thought that the main story was mostly...bland/boring.
