Frost mages are pretty good in pvp, but remove them from that aspect of the game and they are run of the mill just like everyone else.

Well it depends what you mean by "favoured". Do you mean were given buffs/tweaks to fix them? Or given buffs/tweaks to make them better than anyone else?

The reason I ask is because I've played a Disc Priest for years...at the beginning of Cata though the Disc priest just seemed kind of odd and a little broken to me...whereas, since then, if feels like they've been given a decent bit of love...and I love playing them again.

So...Disc priest has been given attention.

Not Mages ... to me hunters are the culprits. Since day one in the first dungeon until now in full epics raids I couldn't outdps hunters.

I never really played a mage far, but when ever I am in a pug with a mage, I dont know if they are just being lazy, but they are always really low with the dps.

And hunters
1. NO ammo
2. Automatic lvl 85 pet
3. pet happiness
4. Can bring any buff they need to bring including "bloodlust/Timewarp" aka ancient hysteria
5. Autoshoot while running around
6. Any group Ive been in the Hunters have been number one or two on dps meters

To be fair the people who honestly believe that blizzard favors a single class are stupid plain and simple. That doesn't make any logical sense, why on earth would a company make one section of it's player base better than the rest?

I'm sure mage will win the poll. But, that's because 70% of people on MMO-champion are band-wagon jumpers and 10% are utterly ignorant. It's a shame that the 70% of sheep often listen to the 10% that are ignorant.

to everyone thats saying mage ,could you please explain other then just saying mage. i play a mage and my dps is on par with mm and surv hunters, unholy dk's and warriors if we all are around the same gear. look at the website state of dps and we are like 7 down on the list. so instead of saying mages are op could you explain what makes them op. cause i sure would like to get in on it.

The post doesn't say "what class is doing the most dps" it says who does Blizzard appear to like the most.

I'm guessing some people are mentioning hunters because hunters are pretty balanced in terms of dps in raids right now. They haven't really gotten much attention since the expansion, with the resource overall and whatnot.

I haven't raided with a rogue full time, their damage seems fine, still broken overpowered in PvP, but haven't seen many changes there either.

DKs, Mages, Paladins and Warriors have definitely gotten the most attention and generally speaking have had the most OPness in one role or another.

What's funny is the Mages in this thread trying to defend themselves. It's always the same thing: OP or favored class never seem to think that they're OP or favored. It's like rich people thinking that they didn't get advantages to make success easier for them, or steroid-using athletes who feel justified because they still had to lift all those weights to get stronger. But anyone who has seen a Frost Mage in PvP or an Arcane Mage in a short fight or a Fire Mage in a fight with lots of adds...they know. And the lopsidedness of this poll makes it pretty obvious.

So because of this no "1 vs 1" balance mages should get buffed constantly even though they already powerful?

Mages are too godmode 1v1. 1v1 doesnt matter but that is no excuse for how out of control and OP'd Frost mages are 1v1. Saying you dont balance around 1v1 is a flat, cop-out. There is simply zero reason for one class to hard counter 90% of the specs in WoW.

Well because they can root>rof>deepfreaze>rof freeze>pet freeze>and then counterspell and cone of cold freeze.
Oh and they can do 20k frostbolts and 15k icelances and they can polly :P
Oh and 2 thoues who say Get a healer gg scrub. Then why should we have to bring a SINGLE healer to beat one class. If its frost mage healer then its gg :C
