    Small list of useful sites

I originally made this post to try and give people an option to the site "stateofdps.com". I find this site very inaccurate, and lacking in options. It seems to be updated slowly, and overall give inadequate amounts of data in my opinion. These are a few options I have found.

Worldoflogs.com - This is the site most sites are based off of. If you want to see the source data - this is where you go. Has everything you could possibly want, but can be time consuming for comparisons.

http://raidbots.com/dpsbot/ - Very customizable, Choices influence: sample size, sample period, specific fights, How it's measured, etc. All around the best site for spec comparisons. Data based off of World of Logs.

http://www.simulationcraft.org/ - This is a site of very basic Sims, of patchwerk-style fights. Generally pretty accurate for most fights, although fights with AoEs, High movement, etc- may vary from this. It's a good place to see BiS gear though, if this is applicable to you. Some of the options include rotations that are near impossible for an actual player to pull off{IE: Enhancement Shaman w/ Caster MH}. Take all data with a grain of salt.

Not associated with the above options, but I feel deserve a mention: http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow <- this site will help you in gearing, and reforging. Very customizable, If you don't like doing math, this is a wonderful site that'll reforge & gem you for the most possible dps. Take all tanking & healing data with a grain of salt.

Elitistjerks.com : a wonderful theorycrafting site. Something every player should visit and just read over your spec at least one time.

All data is subject to misinterpretations, or errors. Take all information you receive from any single source being mindful of this.

http://stateofdps.com/ - Is like Raidbots but allows you to do searches for guilds, players, etc. Also based off of World of Logs.

Some stuff from my guild forums could go here,

    http://rawr.codeplex.com/

Rawr is a tool I used alot back in Wrath to determine upgrades and better ways to hit my stat caps in the newer tiers. However, Rawr development has really slowed during Cataclysm, and with the program still in beta and relics such as Armor Penetration still showing up on the character sheet, I don't feel comfortable recommending it or using it. If you get word of the module for your class working on Rawr, feel free use it, as it was a great tool for Healing and Tanking as well as for dps.

    Online sim and gear optimizer

    WoWreforge.com
Will take your stat weights and optimize, can be set to aim for certain caps or break points in gear, very useful.

    http://wow.joystiq.com/

WoW Insider, good place for WoW related news as well, sort of like a virtual magazine for WoW with columns on several of the classes (sometimes divided between the specs) I would take these with a grain of salt, as they are mostly the authors opinions.

Post on the WoW Forums about how to improve performance.
