At my injury its rotator cuff to be exact. They did surgery on the front but the back is still hurting to this day and I dont have the money or health insurance to get another (god i would love some vikoden...lul). If I get another surgery its gonna slap on more money for my case to be even more exspensive and rather than coming out with something I'd be in the hole of an accident that wasnt remotely even my fault. (women drivers while texting+driving. Thank goodness for seatbelts or I'd probably have some good head injuries or death)

About references, I did that for a bit but I mean...isnt that illegal? They always say that if any info on the app is invalid or basically isnt true they will terminate my employment...not a good thing right? I will speak to my good friends about my good & bad things. Do I even want to put my bad natures on my resume/app. I am going to pass my GED, I got a 97% on math pre-test (half the amt of questions as the real test), 83% on science pre-test and 100% on all other sections. Tutoring wasnt even needed. I walked in, a day later got my results. I just need to go to my bank on friday get the money from my savings (75$...otherwise I'd pay for rent) and complete the test on tuesday.

I'll try the list and when and make dates. Good advice

What is addecco & express? Packing isnt an issue I actually applied for fedex, UPS & the mail place. No response yet, managers busy usually.

I will remember that about temp agencies. PM is on the way.

Do you have recruiting experience or something?
You need to buy yourself some breathing room. So honestly, pack up your stuff and move to your mothers. It may not be ideal, and it may suck for you, but it isn't going to suck more than living on the street. Move in with your mom, and start putting things together. Get your GED, and start searching for jobs hardcore. Starbucks is actually pretty good for people in your situation. Health care, and decent wages. Here's another idea. Barber school. That may sound a little weird, but you can actually make alot of money doing it. You can get decent commission alot of times, and you'll have cash in your pockets on top of that from tips.

Thing is, don't make yourself sick over it. You're young, in a little bit of a bind, but you'll get through it. Most people your age now haven't even tried living on their own. At least you're trying. Talk to your landlord also. You never know. Especially if he/she has alot of properties, perhaps there is a way you can work off your balance doing work for them. But if that's not likely, then like I said. Pack your things up and move back home. It will give you a little room to breathe and focus on the next step.

I applied to Costco last October and got hired as a seasonal worker in it's first court, starting out at $11. I've stayed on past the season point, and been promoted since then, while already having my BA. It's a good company to work, and I know my store is hiring seasonal help right now. If there's one in your area, I strongly suggest checking it out.

Not to be mean or anything, but life isn't always fair. Sometimes, despite your best, shit happens.

Go to a temp place. Manpower, Adecco, whichever you've got around there. It pays less, but beggars can't be choosers.

Why are you telling him to join the army?

Ever thought someone just might not want to sign their life over to fight in stupid causes that have absolutely no positive effect on homeland security whatsoever and just make big corporations extremely rich?

The reason why you'd do this is because submitting the case and then having it heard takes at least a month which gives you a month to find a new job.
And if he did this it would make it impossible for him to ever rent out any actual decent property in the future....so not very good advice.

I don't think you need to be paying for internet right now, extra money could greatly help your situation... :/
Actually, sites like www.snagajob.com and www.monster.com could help him find a job. Plus, it has a calming effect to be able to kind of forget about your issues for a little while. Staying stressed 24/7 isn't going to help.

The army isn't like Blackhawk Down 24/7. Also he was suggested to join the air force, which is not the army and is completely different. But just for kicks, what corporations is the army making extremely rich? If you're about to say the oil companies, I'm gunna stop you right there. Hint: That oil is still purchased.

I'd also like you to explain "that has no positive effect on homeland security whatsoever" in light of the hundreds of stories of the army helping areas dealing with disasters?

I am doing my best to get a job, I've even considered doing that online business crap. I have a total of 5-6 months sales experience, 1-2 months of construction. I cant gain anymore experience because I cant gain any opportunities. I'm about to be on the streets with nothing but a phone & clothes with maybe some food.

How the hell am I supposed to gain experience if I'm not given an opportunity. I had my resume done by someone who does it for a living, I'm calling hiring managers back, within either a few days or a week and if they arent there I call back the next available day. If they are there but I dont get a real response I call back once a week til I get a no or something similar. I am actually really depending on my past retail job to hire me. The owner has become quite a bit of an ass only hiring dumb...I mean really dumb people who dont know anything about video games. People would die to have a job like that and I did, I was unpaid after 2 weeks which was my payday. The previous manager is gone but the owner is still there.

    I mean...

what am I supposed to do here. I cant get a job, I cant gain experience, I'm damn near broke, about to be removed, I also have 2 traffic violations. Non signaled lane change & obviously I was supposed to obtain a state license within 3 months not 6 and my insurance apparently isnt valid cross state. F the world

Someone help me out here? What are my options?
I'll start off with it sounds like you live in a pretty shitty/depressing area if the cops give you a ticket for not using your blinker while lane changing.

Claiming bankruptcy would be a good idea, but it'll break your financial oppurtunities just as hard as if you were living on the street.

All in all, welcome to current day America, this happens everyday to the best of people, meanwhile some fatass senator is eating 6 steaks in his million sq.ft mansion while he sits and profits off of oil money because he sent in the troops to their deaths, all so he could make an extra $5 and put good people on the street..........that's why I'm moving out of this fake ass excuse for a country the second I finish med. school....I'll give my hard earned education to a country that will actually value it, isn't driven by greed, doesn't have 90% of its pop. as gluttonous retards, and not start every war over oil....which fossil fuels are going to be entirely depleted within the next 20 years or so, better get to work on alternative fuels like half the world has already discovered!

u arent going to get a job calling back managers in days or weeks, if u want the job they are offering then u should be calling back immediately. They probably see u as not really giving a damn bc u wait so long to call them back...

This is to all the people who brag, told him, hint at going around and not paying for his rent and making it difficult on the landlords. Go eat donkey phallus. Being a landowner myself on the side I've only ran into one instance of someone taking me to court over the belief that they should be able to live free at my house without the need to pay their rent. Most landlords depend on the rent money to pay their own bills, they aren't out to screw anyone over, in reality you're the douche. Now tell me a sob story.

Almost no unemployment is because there is literally NO jobs available, apply at every place you can, if my friend who never held a job in his life can get one in a week, I'm sure the OT could too if he actually tried.

It was a suggestion. There are plenty of things you can do in the military and not get deployed. There are jobs in the military that are almost exactly like civilian jobs. There is actually a "Laundry and shower specialist" It's not all Infantry.

I said check out other branches as well. The Air Force is pretty lax as far as a lifestyle and has a very high quality of life in most jobs. People use the military as much as the military uses them in many cases. That said, it can give some people a push in the right direction. Nobody said "JOIN THE ARMY NOW" Chill out Noam Chompsky. It was only a suggestion.

Just don't join the Marines...they may be percieved as the most badass and trained the most, but that's because they're literally the pawns of war and are almost always sent to the front line.

I realize every war needs to have a front line and fighters to place on that front line...but honestly, with today's technology and the money that this country truely has...the war in the Middle East could be fought successfully from the comfort of civilian's sofa, on their TVs, in the form of a video game.
However, that'd be too expensive to fund and it's just cheaper to send lightly armored troops in to their deaths.

*Fun Fact: There have been a number of fully armored Army suits invented since early 2000, all of which are practically impenetrable to most bullets...but they start at around 300k for one suit, and the gov't doesn't think a troop's life is worth that much money.

Classic greed...remember what happened to the Roman Empire when it got overly-greedy and started putting taxes on top of taxes on top of taxes, etc.? Also, a wise man once told me: "History only repeats itself."

Not to mention quit a few people who are combat ready dont get sent to a combat area, they get put in a base in Europe/Japan/South Korea, all nice places. (just in case some random BS goes down)

Nobody told me not to pay for my rent lol. Geez someone is having a bad day yeah? Landlords can be assholes. Most overprice whats really there on top of paying bills. If I'm paying more than the landlord is leasing while keeping his land pretty & up to his expectations then he's making a business off of me and thats essentially a douche move.

You originate from japan anyways if your location is accurate so you dont even belong in this specific thread. I'm from the USA, no other country.

Please be kind & nice and also read the real post & comments before making a bad post like this

Btw I landed a job, this thread can die anytime now. Telemarketing but w/e its 9$ or comission, whichever makes more. No I wont say what company but its telemarketing contractors so I'm not calling families at dinner time basically.

    Let the thread die

Rent is getting paid by end of next week

I've been homeless a few times, mainly b/c I entered into deals with friends/family without contract and was shat on. You'll survive, believe me. There are so many things out there to help you, but the biggest thing is that you have to help yourself. Keep working on every possibility.

    Oh, and...

I'll give you two sob stories.

    First story

I was living in a share house with 3 other people, we had a pretty good deal with rent going on (signed agreement). After about 5 months of good times the landlord sends us a letter giving us all two weeks notice to get out of the house. We call the landlord over and when it becomes clear we're not about to move out in two weeks (with grounds the minimum has to be four weeks notice). The landlord leaves and then a few days later issues another letter this time claiming family emergency and that he requires the house immediately. After more fighting we moved out, luckily I had found a new room to rent around the corner. About three weeks later I decided to walk past and check out the old house, the place was full of new people and all paying double the rent we were previously (I went up and asked).

    Second story.

The new room I moved into because of the story above was in a townhouse three bedroom, two bathroom, kitchen, lounge etc, nothing special. Apart from the landlord just dropping in whenever she wanted, everything went fine.....for about 6 months, one day the landlord and her husband come around and the conversation went like this

Landlord: We’re going to be moving in
    Me: What?
Landlord: We’re going to move in, we’ve just bought a new holiday house and we’re short on money so to save on costs we’re moving in.
Me: But where will you sleep?
Landlord: We’re going to setup a bed in the lounge
    Me: ?????
    *After some time thinking*
Me: While I’m not completely happy with the arrangement, I’d expect that you’ll be sharing the additional costs then?
Landlord: uh no. Actually we were going to increase the rent
    Me: ?????
Me: I don’t think that’s fair at all

The conversation ends shortly after. Next day the landlord issues me with notice to leave.

So you know what, I have ZERO sympathy for landlords, now thankfully I'm in my own place so I never have to deal with landlords again.
