    Your dream football team!

Okay well, i'm only 16 and not a professional expert in football, I haven't seen all the players in the entire world the past 30 years so this might, and probably won't be the best team for you, but for me it would. Oh, also, all the players would be as good as they were when they were as best.

    Victor Valdes

Carles Puyol Fabio Cannavaro Robert Carlos Daniel Alves

    Xavi Hernandez Andrés Iniesta

    Ronaldinho

    Messi Samuel Eto'o Ronaldo

    Ronaldo

Koodledrum is closer than most of you will ever get. Not sure about 5 mid and back three though.

    Goal keeper's absolutely spot on

I'd play it 4-4 personally and have Bobby Moore alongside Beckenbauer. That's a back four I'd crap myself if I ever faced set up like that, with the center backs able to hold solid while LB/RB can push forward into the midfield and opposing half.

Messi is great in this era, but honestly. I'd take Lothar Mattheus and Duncan Edwards, those two would hold any midfield battle no matter who you paired them against, with the ability to both defend with excellence and push the ball forwards. Pair that with Ryan Giggs and Stanley Matthews as your left and right wingers.

Strikers though Pelé is a given, who you pair him with however is another question. Considering he's a natural CF you can play him with a striker to maximise goalscoring oppertunity, and in my opinion no one is a better poacher than Van Basten.

    So to line it up

    Schmeichel
    Maldini, Beckenbauer, Moore, R. Carlos
    Giggs, Mattheus, Edwards, Matthews
    Pele, Van Basten

You might as well just hand them the trophy before they kick a ball in any tournament, the team would simply be that good.

With Gazza, Messi & Beckham in midfield you think you'd need a back 4

the good thing is with mine you could also use Messi or Laudrup either as a third striker or playing just off the front two and STILL have 2 of the best crossers of a ball i've ever witnessed in Beckham & Cooper, never gonna happen, but i'd pay good money to see that squad take on Barcelona as they stand right now!

I'd have put Bobby Moore in there if i felt it needed more "bite" in the back & was thinking about Van Basten as well, but felt he was a bit more lightweight than Villa - ah the signs of a youth wasted playing Champ/Football Manager!

I'm just going to use players that are playing football atm:

    GK: Casillas
    DEF: D.Alves Vidic Puyol Evra
    MID: Xavi Sneijder Iniesta
    FW: Messi Rooney Ronaldo

<< Huge Manchester United fan btw =)

Almost half of my team are Barcelona players...for me this Barce team is the greatest club side that I have ever seen, the way they pass and move is incredible,it sucks losing 2 Champions League finals to them in 3 years but you cant help but drool when they play...to make them even more impressive over half of their team have been developed by the clubs youth team, they havnt had to go out and spend 200+ million per season to stay on top..pretty incredible tbh.

Because people were choosing an all time list and as good as he is, there's plenty of goalkeepers in history who are far better. Consider that Oliver Kahn and Gordon Banks haven't both been mentioned either.

Ok, that's true, Kahn was a titan, also Fabien Barthez at his good times was unbeatable, and not to mention pre-90ies.
The goalkeeper mentioned here were all pretty new, and seriously I would choose Neuer over van der Sar, Schmeichel and Casillas any day. (though they're all huge, of course).
Schalke vs ManU (or rather Manu(el Neuer) vs ManU) only watcheable because of his goalkeeping, the rest looked like a training match for ManU^^.
