Dude saying magic is overrated is SEVERELY tripping. I dont stack any melee or damage mitigation because at a certain point you one hit almost everything with a double power attack. But magic resist is awesome because the first time you see a Master Necromancer or Fire Mage he will almost 1 hit you. Plus magic casters scurry around like crazy never stopping, it grinds my gears.

I just stack magic resist so I can withstand the OOM they give when charging at them for the first 3 seconds. Then its whack whack whack and their dead.

I prefer melee myself but my sister does magic and it seems WAY funner, except the fact that theres like no sneaking with magic.

But in my experience magic is OP. =)

The thing about magic is that exact "at certain point" you used. At a certain point, Destruction is useless because it doesn't scale with your skill. The spells all have a set damage. Melees and archers also have the "Fortify" enchantments to increase their damage...but the "Fortify <Magic School>" enchantments reduce their cost instead. The end result is that come lv 40 mages do pitiful damage.

That's kind of the reason why no one plays an unmodded mage anymore.

Bethesda hasn't released a working game on release for any platform ever.

I hope Redguard hits before the end of the Summer.

And I hope some big projects see completion before that time too. Things like the LotR project and Skywind and Skyblivion or w/e.

And yes, I've played Tropical Skyrim. It just didn't feel...right to me.

I would love for big sandbox-ish games like Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption to be MMO's. However, while they might look huge to the single-player. Put a couple thousand other players in there, and they start looking a lot smaller.
    Sir Robin, the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot.
Who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor.
Who had almost stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol.
And who had personally wet himself, at the Battle of Badon Hill.

Could you guys stop spamming the loud annoying spell for a few seconds? I'm trying to enjoy this scenic vista.

Pretty much. Part of their charm is that they are big wide worlds for me to explore and discover. Like discovering a new town and meeting all its npc's. Would lose a lot of its charm if I walk into a town full of dead npc's because a pack of griefers were bored or found an exploit. Developers who lose themselves to "multiplayer madness" forget, or ignore, that some of the best gameplay experiences can be found without having other players intruding.

Now I would still love to see Skyrim as an MMO but it would need to be a lot bigger. And even if it was almost a direct copy for everything else. It might still not be anywhere near as much fun to play.

and with the new elder scrolls online I dont see how it can be elder scrolls. It would not be the same type of game as an MMO

Yea, I love that they're having a different studio make the MMO.

Skyrim MMO with ESO on the horizon? No thanks. I'm glad Beth will be working on Skyrim expansions/TESVI
