Ah, I see where you are now, for some reason I was thinking you were inside Whiterun in that pic (don't ask me why). A friend of mine had something similar just outside of Whiterun, when looking in that direction (towards the tower where you fight your first dragon). Not sure what it was, but I think he said he did the "wait 30 days inside" and it went away. I'm actually meeting him tonight, so I'll try and remember to ask him if that's what it was.

    Cool thanks

He thinks it was a mod, but he can't remember which one (it was a few months ago).

No, it's scripts. Here's what Papyrus gives me:
warning: Suspended stack count is over our warning threshold, dumping stacks:
    VM is freezing...
    VM is frozen

My game isn't crashing everytime something happens anymore. Now it's less frequently while walking outside, or sometimes in combat the game will freeze but the sounds continue playing. It's playable, but still bad.

I've started the Requem mod and I love it! The only disadvantage is that bows are so OP that sometimes you want to throw away your sword and just 1-shot everything with a bow. Anyway I like the hardcore gameplay.

Anyone had HiAlgo boost with an ENB that adjusts light levels and gotten it to work so that when HiAlgo kicks in (when moving mouse), the light levels stay the same? I'm using some ENB and Climates, and tried HiAlgo, which was great of course, but the light levels get fucked up when moving the mouse. Tried all the tricks I could find on Google but to no avail (not that many of them there though.) Thought someone else might have run into this.

Also, anyone know of a crossbow ironsight mod? One that works with the zoom in perk. Or even a crossbow scope mod since apparently the game engine has slots for scopes. I could see some dwemer scope being a real possibility. I mean they build robots. I doubt a couple lenses are a big deal for them.

Been having a blast with Frostfall, and trying not to fast travel so much. Spent a lot of time hunting, trying to get some leather and deer skins for cloaks, and got seriously cold air, so had to pitch a tent with Lydia and stop to warm by a campfire. It's so damn cool (no pun intended) tenting out at the campfire at night, especially with the shooting stars mod. Also, winter edition so no rainstorms constantly. True freezing north, not some fake rainstormy English north! The needs mod is also cool, although since I play with timescale 3, it's nice not having to eat, drink and sleep constantly.

Playing on legendary difficulty made me have to raise bolt damages 150%, since I couldn't kill anything. Still takes me a good 20 bolts with Lydia to bring down a bigger creature like a bear, and I've got deadly creatures at 0%. Only killed the first quest dragon so far, I've got deadly dragons on expert, with 1, 2 and 3 dragon assaults possible, so I'm thinking with a mortal Lydia I'm going to have to drop the difficulty quite a bit.

Locational damage is at 25% chance I think (50% default), which is good for trash humanoids, since ever so often you get an instakill headshot. Seems somewhat balanced, since I'm still mince meat if they get to me more often than not. Playing an thief/assassin sniper khajiit now, the paladin was a lost cause at these difficulty levels.

Would be nice to be able to have a doable difficulty level as far as melee goes, but either it's too damn easy, or when fighting a single opponent is just about doable, fighting two becomes impossible. Oh well... The sniper is going to keep me busy anyways.

If you're looking to make spellcasting less of a pain in the ass check out SmartCast:

As you can see, it can be considered a cheat but it can also be considered a workaround to the terrible spell management in vanilla. Up to you.
smartcast was recently featured on gamespot's top five mods of the week

i downloaded this mod for just one simple spell - Light I, no more i have to drop weapon > pick Light I spell > cast spell > equip weapon while in dungeons crawling.

just assign it to a spell ring and then assign it to a hotkey in your favourites.

but as you mentioned this is technically a cheating mod as you can basically automate all spells and even make combos, if you play as Mage caster build this is destroy your fun imho, but its somewhat fun for melee chars as long as you dont automate everything.

im considering in automating muzzle when i enter sneak, but so far the light I is really the only life saver tweak i needed ^^

Setting mismatched values can make the game extremely unstable.

This is how it should be at uGrid 7:

SKSE mods trying to use the same script as other mods WILL cause instability and CTD's as well. The most common villain are race mods and character creation tools. For instance, ApachiiSkyHair(NPC overhaul) and/or Beards is not compatible with all race mods and can cause weird artifacts and even crashes. That's a good place to start. Disable all your race mods if you have any, see if that solves it.

Another pretty common problem is with mods that change how light behaves. Having ELFX+ RLO+ CoT all at the same time is a ticking time bomb for example. Even if the mod author claim their mod is compatible with another similar mod, it's most likely not. Just saying

i have no problem at all with Lanterns of Skyrim + RLO + COT + Realvision ENB with ugrid 7 and Skyrim HD 2k pack.

i think the amount of graphical fidelity you can pull off in Skyrim really REALLY depends on your PC power

RLO+ COT is not fully functional on my system for example and my PC isn't exactly shit.

But it depends on a lot of factors but generally it's those mods that cause problems and when they do it's often because of incompatibility.

the only thing that conflicts its the interiors .esp

try installing them in this order, with NMM:

    • Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel V3.1 - This setup you can if you prefer get a night version i use default due to the ENB im using, but nights4 looks great without ENB
    • Realistic Sun for Climates of Tamriel and Vanilla by prod80 (optional, but recommended)
    • Climates Of Tamriel - Weather Patch - Fog Rain Overcast by prod80 (optional, but recommended)
    • Climates of Tamriel - Weather Patch - Snow by Saerileth
    • Realistic Lighting Overhaul 4.0.7C by The Realistic Lighting Team - select custom on first window then This Setup DONT download Realistic Lighting Weathers RC3 version this is really not compatible with COT as it changes the weather files

Then run BOSS, if you have it, to update the masterlist

Wish I could try it but already have ELFX+ real clouds+ a custom ENB mix, took me 2 days to set it up. I would literally commit suicide if I had to redo anything from what it currently is, lol. But might be useful for other people with similar problems so thanks.

yeah, getting stuff to work with ENB can be a PITA sometimes.

i never manage to get the above with Kountervibe ENB, it made the game way to bright even changing the settings, had to try realvision and im really happy

I want to play Skyrim and could use some advice on making a death knight class to play. Not so much WoW based but more like D&D or Everquest type.

gamespots top five skyrim mods of the week did a video on it and at the end they binded most if not all the games spells at once and it looked pretty nuts

I never play with pure ENB's I always mix the parts I like from different ENB's and tweak the stuff that I'm not satisfied with. Using Somber ENB, Realvision, Project ENB and a custom Bloom and sunglare. Working on mountain and rock textures at the moment since my bloom makes them WAY to bright and defined during the day, but just right during dusk, dawn and night. So hard to make it look "perfect" all the time and not just during a specific time of day.

    But I'm getting there. xD

try changing the ILAmount -Amount of diffusive light reflections between nearest objects and AOAmount -Amount of darkening between nearest objects.

Finally done with Skyrim + Dawnguard/Dragonborn DLC after 505 hours of gameplay (yeah its pretty long, I took my time alright).
Have to say pretty awesome game, beautiful graphics, well thought out storyline & several quests/npcs really do stir your emotions.

But why does the game have to have so much hair pulling bugs?
If it wasn't for console commands I would have to save at almost every step or worst restart my game but even so some bugs still went through, I didn't get my Oblivion Walker achievement even after obtaining 15 Daedric artifacts

Was that with or without some of the patches you can add to the game?

Also, has anyone tried a playthrough on Legendary difficulty? Seemed like any enemy that dealt any sort of elemental/poison damage would drop you in a heartbeat if they got close enough. Resistance potions seemed to have a negligible effect =/ Granted, I am also playing a dual wielding, sneaky type character which is hard enough early on. It's also entirely possible that I am terrible at this game since I haven't played it in what seems like forever.

As a rule, I don't play Bethesda games on hard, they don't balance too well.
