    So it goes like this:

    Backstab would be: 2700*3,64+1634 = 11468 costing 40 energy --> damage per energy = 287

    Hemo would come out to: 2700*2,25*1,4 = 8505 costing 29 energy --> damage per energy = 293

    So, its more or less the same DPE. That means that, yes, hemo will be viable in pvp, where you can choose imp recup over puncturing wounds, and another glyph instead of Backstab.

    Thank god hemo is back.
    Interesting calculations. Im going to wait and see how actual numbers turn out though. Because of backstab critting almost twice as often it would still turn out that little bit more damage.

    Also, even though DPE matters, id much rather burn 120 energy in 3 seconds doing 34404 damage (+ 60% crit)
    Than i would burn 116 energy in 4 seconds doing 34020 damage (30% crit).

    actualy it's worse for hemo in that 3 seconds or 4 seconds analysis because of the damadge your not geting from the hemo DoT

    Think what Viglante means is that you doubled Hemo damage WITH the DoT, so the damage from Hemo will be a lot lower. Backstab deals a lot more damage but is more situational

    Yes, if youre looking for max dmg outside of Sdance, you will still spec and glyph backstab.

    Hemo will be more used on builds with more survivability (without lethality).

    But dont forget that hemo also has bigger combo point generation, and you can get glyph of eviscerate, 3/3 Coup de Grace and maybe initiative, wich means more dmg during shadow dance.

    Ill try this: wowhead.com/talent#fcbbZbZcGcsducRho:amMksi
