I'd be surprised if we went straight from Firelands > Deathwing without even looking at the old gods involvement in Vashjir.

the "4.3" used to describe the next legendary was meant to be "the next raid patch"

News to me.

I highly doubt it'll be a tanking weapon. They've left a few lose ends in their post about tanking, and I think we're set to see some major changes to some classes and making tanking more enjoyable soon.

A tanking legendary would be nice, and I think we'll see it either this expansion towards the end, or in the next expansion, but for this expansion i'd like to see two - three nice DPS Legendaries.
I am hoping their is a Pole arm for the Hunters / Feral Druid at some point, and a Mace / Dagger / Axe or something for Rogues & Shamans.

Well we can rule out casters and tanks. Plate dps just got shadowmourne so it would be semi safe to rule out them. I can see a legendary gun or bow (more likely a gun considering we've already had a bow in sunwell). Hunters are starting to get some love with these new pets coming out in 4.2 which blizzard really didnt have to do. We also have an expansion that is centered (pretty much) around thrall, so we could see an enchancement weapon, which would also be for rogues and hunter.

I dont see it being for anything other than hunter, rogue and/or shaman.

Blizzard have said they'll be releasing more patches then ever before. They want to have a smoother stream of content then sudden bursts of Content.

I think we'll see to around 4.7 perhaps with this Expansion. Remember, so much more can be fitted in before Deathwing!

Just to clarify something: while a Hunter could wield a 1H Agi weapon, it is very far from optimal (to the point that they'd be the last class that could wield it to get it).

I'm thinking an Agi Polearm as previously mentioned.

This is my crazy theory which even im pretty damn sure won't come to fruition.

If the 4.3 raid is WotA im pretty sure (i don't know the lore too well ) that one of the Burning Legion we fight is Azzinoth correct? Maybe he will drop something else (he already had a shield and warglaives!) :P

and not every Raid would have a 4.x but a 4.x.x

The 1h weapon idea for both shamans, death knights, warriors and rogues sounds plausible. To avoid the agility vs strength problem, the weapon could either have two versions, or provide attack power instead of raw agi/str.

But really, for now there's no way we'll know for sure what it will be, it's all speculation. And speculation is fun
