But anyway, we got 1-2 threads asking about this every week. MMO-Champion is mainly a WoW forum. Boub will start covering other MMOs when WoW burns out.
I recall Bibi saying that mmo-champ will start covering other mmos once they "prove" that they're going to survive and keep a community running, and not just get a ton of subscribers early and then slowly die once people get to max level and wants WoW back. But don't quote me on it though...

Pretty sure it will be a fun game, and it might be more fun than WoW. (personal taste) But who are you to decide for others that this game will be better.

Fanboys & haters do us normal gamers a favor and hang yourself.

To be fair; Bioware makes excellent RPGs, and from every trailer I've seen, they're taking a lot of stuff from WoW. Impressions from testers and others who have played the game has been overwhelmingly positive. Unless Bioware drops the ball, it could be a strong competitor to WoW. Something that the genre sorely needs IMO.

I definitely wouldn't consider it the "ULTIMATE MMO" though. That's just silly talk.

I'd like to note, that the 'Multiple choices' mean very little in the long run.

It's, give or take, the same as choosing not to do Quest A and doing Quest B instead.

Anyone who played WoW during vanilla knows exactly how bad of a problem this was. Paladins were flat out better for raids and shamans were simply mediocre. Might, Wisdom, and Salv weren't available for horde.

Just because it was a problem in WoW doesn't mean it'll be a problem in SWTOR. Also since the entire game is built around faction-based classes, I doubt bioware is going to do what Blizzard did with the Paladins and Shaman.

Also, removing the faction differences took a lot of flavor out of the classes. I remember the racial-specific abilities with the priest class that were awesome. They were removed because of balance issues, and it also removed a lot of the immersion from the game.

In the end, WoW was worse off because of the change.

    1. We have a nice SW:TOR thread for discussion; it's lovely.

    2. Starting a thread with "haha world of failcraft" is just asking for the thread to get closed; there's no reason to start a pointless bash thread.

    3. As far as a SW:TOR-specific forum, it all depends on the community of the game and how things go, just like with the Rift stuff back when.
