    Cool Bios ?

    after i flashed and updated my bios should push the cmos reset button on the mobo? or not

    Its actually very rare that you need a flash and update a Bios. From my experience, they typically resulted in something not working.

    Either way, to your question, it shouldn't hurt it but typically should not be needed. It would be more of an OCD type deal to double check that the new bios default settings are loaded.

    Actually the best move would have been to reset the CMOS before doing the BIOS flash I think.

    You are right, indeed young skywalker. It's usually best to reset CMOS before flashing your BIOS, as after a flash, if you retained any CPU settings, it could be disastrous.
